Any Performance done aftermarket, would void any parts involved in that. Most Performance aftermarket upgrades come with the 3 yr/36k.
But being a Ford Performance Tune, would it be considered "aftermarket"?

I am newb here but can someone explain how these numbers add up. I thought that the Tremor was at 400hp and 510lb.-ft torque from factory.

"Ford will also offer a new calibration for the base F-150 with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine. Torque jumps 100 lb.-ft at 2,500 rpm, and the new max torque is 510 lb.-ft at 3,500 rpm, while horsepower increases 55 at 3,500 rpm and up to a max 450 horsepower at 5,250 rpm."

Tremor is 400/500 just like any other non-Raptor/3.5 H.O. This brings the numbers to 450/510 but more importantly seems to lower the usable powerband quite a bit.

Maybe I was just reading it wrong. It jumps 100 @ 2500rpm specifically not 100 overall. The inner child wanted to see 450/600. :D

It's a bit confusing as they advertise the tq and hp increases at specific RPMs rather than peak to peak. In any case, it's more low end tq and more top end hp. Should be a decent improvement. I hope they adjust the transmission performance as well...

If is anything like the other tunes (Ranger/Bronco) this will also adjust the shift points.

Does anyone see a part number anywhere? It doesn't seem to be up on the website yet.

If it was done after the vehicle is built it would be.

Thanks for this confirmation!

Outside of the included 3/36 warranty seems no benefit to going with this.

Additionally seems like Ford is offering an incentive to buyers to voluntarily void their extended warranties.

We are interpreting this differently I guess. Magnuson Moss Warranty Act puts the onus on the manufacture to prove that changes you made to your vehicle caused failure in event of a problem. With this being a FoMoCo tune, optics would look pretty bad if FoMoCo was to invalidate an extended warranty. But maybe I'm being overly optimistic....

I personally had Ford delete testing records for dealer oil consumption tests to avoid replacing the motor in my GT350. Probably why I am a bit pessimistic here tbh. Apologies.

One could assume they easily have access to data showing durability was only expected for 3/36 as per the included warranty and that the increased performance led to failures at 150k, 200k, etc and would argue a reasonable person should expect decreased life. The burden of proof requirement seems like more of a formality here to me.

Though optics perspective is interesting. Though this is Ford we're talking about

Anywho I will shut my ignorant trap. Following this to learn more.

$825 seems like quite a bit for just doing a software update, however the increased performance is worth it. Reading the PDF instructions to install is just plugging in to the OBD port, I guess it covers a technician to sit on their arse and watch it...

That price is without install; plan for another 1-2 hours of labor to be able to preserve the warranty. The real-world timing is about half hour for these FP tunes for other platforms.

I just spoke with a Ford Performance Technical Advisor, and he said this tune will void any extended warranty purchased for your truck. This includes a Ford Premium Care warranty or any other aftermarket warranties like Ally, etc. Hope this helps. I was really interested in this product, but I have an extended Ford warranty, so it won't work for me. Good luck.

Same...bummer.

I have a 7yr/100k also, we can always get the update after the warranty runs out. Be interested to hear from people who get it.
