The way it was explained to me by the local service manager was that the 3/36k would cover any problems associated with the tune while the current warranty continues on.
That would be ideal and I’ll get it right away if so

Right- the 3/36 would be the drivetrain, my 8/100k should still cover everything else like electronics, etc. But if the motor pops, trans slips, that warranty is gone. I don't think it's worth it. I plan to get a new one when I hit 100k miles so whatever a 2028 F150 Tremor or Raptor brings, I'll buy that.

The 3/36 warranty is literally for the Ford Performance product. The weird thing is that it's back dated to when your original warranty started. My dealer said this tune had no impact on the 5 year powertrain warranty. Of course I'll ask again when I schedule it for installation, but that's what I've been told.

Here is a link to the FPP warranty details.

It also broadly extends to "adverse impacts" to other components during the FP warranty period, which is where it fills the gap for claims which would otherwise be denied under the factory coverage:

I think it's low likelihood that the tune will actually cause issues that would not have otherwise been present, but it comes down to whether the dealer will support that position for a specific claim. Sounds like you have a supportive dealer.

Fifty-five hp more and a Ford Performance 3 year 36,000 warranty; I’m in. I’ve filled up with 93 octane gas since the initial tankful so, that won’t be a change for me.
Same

Love the Commencal bike for your kid, you know what's up. I highly recommend the rocky mountain reaper if they stick with it as they get bigger.
Good eye. He's almost got the 16" pedal bike fully down. He just turned 3 but he's 99th percentile height and weight and has long outgrown his 12" balance bike. The RM bikes look like the best kid-size FS bikes on the market right now.

I think this is just the OEM Raptor / 2019 Limited Tune. If they void the warranty because of it I would just fight it. It doesn't need to be installed by Ford just a certified Redseal mechanic. If they don't ask don't tell IMO. I've searched extensively and can't find any ecoboost warranty issues that have had a FP tune. Lots of Mustang and ST's have them and like I said the numbers sure look like the OEM Raptor and 2019 Limited numbers. Why did only the 19 Limited have 450hp and 500lbs? It wasn't a different engine.

The 2019 Limited had the option of the HO 3.5L, same as the Raptor. This was a different engine than the standard output.

With the latest generation 3.5L it's less clear what the differences are between the standard and HO engines. For example, the HO used to have a lower compression ratio - I'm not sure that's the case anymore.

Anyhow, I'm sure there is a great deal over overlap between the HO tune and this Ford Performance tune as well as some improvements from Livernois.

I don't think it'll have any bearing on warranty claims either. I realize the FP warranty says otherwise. I asked the service manager at my dealership and he insisted that it wouldn't impact any warranty work that he might have to perform.

It wasn't an option and I don't think they promoted it as having a HO motor (I could be wrong) just that it had more HP. I would love to know what exacly the HO ecoboost engine truly actually has or had other than a tune. I've read alot that just constantly running super in your ecoboost will change the A/F timing/spark (compression) and give you more power. I've ran 91+ since the day I got it. It also says in the manual you should be running Super/High octaine fuel while Towing. I wonder if there is a part number for a HO motor or it's always just been a tune and high octane fuel.

I did a little more googling lol and there may have been a difference before 2019, the turbo had a different material, oil pan and some other stuff, but that seems to have changed for 2021. That could be why this tune is only available for 21 and up? I've also saw a lot of just TUNE TUNE TUNE nothing else.

It was more than a tune when it came out. The compression was lower. I can't recall what else off the top of my head but many of the internal parts were more robust.

Many of these upgrades have trickled into the latest generation 3.5L.
