What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Have you used it in stop & go traffic? I did just days before my trail period ended and I thought that was really cool. Never had to do a thing. It would stop, then creep forward and stop again keeping pace with the car in front of me for like 30mins. I could see it being very useful if you have to drive in that kind of traffic every day.
I use it in both my tremor and my mmegt in bumper to bumper traffic regularly, it's a godsend in Miami traffic.

Nice! Still hoping it randomly shows up for me. Do you know what that light is flashing top right of the radio? I see it on mine but have never seen it flash, at least not with the naked eye. I assume its some sort of IR thing, just not sure what it's used for.

My Blue Cruise has expired and I'm debating on purchasing it. I don't drive on the freeway very much so it wouldn't get much use, but it is nice when I do...
They are the IR scanners for BC as someone else noted. If you block one with your phone or a water bottle while you're drinking and BC is on, it'll automatically start pinging you.

Would love to get the details on how to get this update, pose do share.
Gen14f150 has a whole thread on it with how to do it and who to contact for the files. You need a mongoose cable and forscan beta to sideload the modules. I wasn't comfortable doing it (you can brick your truck to where it's undriveable) so I paid someone I know from the forums locally to do all the updates and sideloads for me, took him about 7 hours.

I will also add the audio update is night and day. I have no idea why the fk my truck didn't come this way from factory. The audio was so terrible on the BO unleashed when I got it. And it took 3 years for them to update it to what it should've already been.

Did you have to use the mongoose cable to force-load the audio update?

No you should receive or have already received that as an OTA. I hadn't done any updates in a couple of years because the PCM update from last year would wipe my tune. So when I had him do BC1.4 I had him do everything I didn't have which was like 12 updates.

So I don't have BC, and just using the regular adaptive cruise control, I'm able to auto start/stop and follow other cars pretty well in heavy traffic without much driver input. I can't do the hands-free lane changes (unless the lane keep assist fails or shuts itself off, or the roads are really snowy) but I also don't have cameras monitoring my every move at all times. How do you guys pick your noses while driving with the Eye of Henry Ford Sauron always watching?

Completed forward lighting mods with addition of KC Hilite Gravity 6” DOT Driving lights on SVP three light modular bumper brackets. Fog lights are DOT SS3 Pro amber. Ditch lights are KC Flex Era 3 on Diode Dynamics brackets. Comfortable amount of light driving in elk country. I’m still gonna observe a 50mph max after dark on those two lane roads. 2024 402a 3.5lView attachment 35210View attachment 35211Looks Great! Can you see the lights in the front camera view at all?

I've got a similar setup and can just barely see a tiny bit of my lights in the front camera.

I ordered the Eibach ProTruck 2R kit a few months aga, picked it up last week and installed it yesterday. Kit is very nice, quality built and fit right to the truck with no issues at all. I have only driven a few miles around the neighborhood to get things settled. so far it looks like maybe an inch and a half lift out of the box, might need to make a little adjustment to get up to the 2" I want. I did drive it about a half mile on a powerline road with woops and washboard, man what a difference!!

Picked up a RCI Offroad metal gas tank skid plate during their tax season sale to replace the cheap-o plastic skid and finally got around to installing it this weekend.

Not exactly an exciting mod but if it saves me from having to get my wife's door repaired due to us both parking in the garage at the same time then it's well worth it. Weird shaped pool noodle I found at Dollar General. I cut it in half longways and it fits right over the step. Put the other side on the garage wall to keep my door safe. I just place it on the step when I get home. Easy.

Glue that thing on ! Looks Awesome !!

Installed paint matched Rough Country Sport Fender Flares yesterday. At the price point ($600 painted straight from rough country) I wasn't sure what to expect, but they really look great. Very much an OEM+ look. Always nice when you don't have to pay a body shop to paint something for you as well. Here are some crappy pics for now. View attachment 35156View attachment 35157
I'm assuming these use the same holes as wheel well liners would. Can't really find an answer. I really like how clean this looks.

Well had the tremor a week, only 250 miles on it, but Yes ! She is a keeper, now its time to start my build. I had the Line X sprayed in today, I went to my local reputable LineX dealer and spent an hour going over everything, the process, from prep, to removal of all screws, to the lines and most importantly, make sure they tape well to prevent ANY over spray there are some horror stories out there. Kudo's to me dealer , they had there best guy do it, and had it all day. Sure you will have some say it should only take 2 -3 hours, I would rather they take their time and dont rush anything. When you work hard for a nice truck, dont skimp on the bedliner, have it done and done right.

Here are a few things I learned over the years to ensure that your dealer does a great job:

1) Make sure they unscrew ALL screws to the bed, hangers, brackets, etc.. then reattach everything as original.
2) Bottom end of bed and bottom of tailgate ~ (most lineX dealers will stop at both the end of you truck bed and tailgate. At the bottom end of truck bed have them spray as far down as they can. (this serves 2 purposes, protects and when you stand at the rear of your truck and look at the space between the tailgate and bumper , it is a nice black). Also have the spray as fare down on the bottom of the tailgate as well. (with the new 23's they could only go about half way down on the bottom).
3) Overspray Inspection ~ upon pick up look thoroughly at spray lines and for any over spray, inside tailgate latches, side of truck, the spray line on the front top of bed near rear window, etc. Also make sure they dont spray the top of your spare tire though the gap, a proper taping will ensure this doesn't happen. A great lineX dealer will be methodical about the prep work and taping.
4) inspect ALL screws on bed, attachments and tailgate screws, etc. Make sure all bed screws are flush with washers, to ensure they didnt put in crooked or strip them. Also check tailgate screw to ensure they are all in place.
5) inspect bottom of tailgate for all screws, grommets and wires have no kinks and in place.
6) Inspect entire tailgate to ensure proper operation up and down , and also check for even gaps.
7) Final inspection walk around of your truck to ensure no new scratches, dings or otherwise.
Mine came from the factory with it in it !!

Hey Everyone. This is a great thread!
Tremor Lethbridge.webp

I have now completed the 2nd mod on my Tremor. This is amazing! Power lighted running boards from Boost Auto. Signal light function and white rock light function. These are sick!
I just love it! Check out my new video. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. If you'd like to follow along with my future mods (lots to come!) please Subscribe to my channel.
What have you done with your truck that is a must have? Let me know please. Thanks.
