What's new

šŸ› ļø What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

I’ve always wondered what the point of these are?
Top of window is inboard compared to bottom so straight down rain comes in more with window down/no rain deflectors. Also allows cracking window and keeps the bugs off your B pillar if you roll through our backroads with the windows down.

It’s a rain deflector, it allows you to keep your window open in the rain to let fresh air in without getting a ton of water in the cab. I live in Oregon so mold and humidity are a real issue.

It’s also reduces wind noise and helps direct fresh air inside if you’re driving. So far they work great.

I did a thing today :p

A fella named beaver24 on the 14th gen forum was a massive help, he was the main brains behind all this. I'll start a thread tomorrow outlining what has to happen to make this work for us nerds on this forum šŸ¤“

There's more to it than meets the eye!

This is out of curiosity, not criticism, but why square hooks? Is it an aesthetic choice or is there a practical reason? It looks great, but just curious!

100% aesthetic. I did some decals too. Spring time gonna detail it soon, the wax came off and I can see some of the pinstripes from last year šŸ˜…

I’ll note that they are way beefier, but I’m sure the stock ones are already more than enough strength wise.

Did they bolt right up? I have a hatred of circles but a love of squares so this is a big deal for me.

Yes. Don’t release the rear bolt completely. It holds the clamp/nut in the frame on. 13mm bash plate, 15mm for the hooks.

The rubber boot needs to be cut to fit but I decided to do that another day. It looks fine without them.

They are ridiculously thick compared to stock. Pretty impressive actually.

Wow, they do look a lot thicker. I also like that they're one piece, not welded.

Interesting.
I wonder if this is standard on the 2024 and newer or was it part of a Power Up update.
I’ll check on my 2023 later today so fingers crossed that it’s there.
I dont see the option on my 23. Did you find it? I would LOVE to turn it off!

Confirming that the Key Detection Alert aka "double honk" is a menu option under Vehicle Settings.
My 2025 was bought new about 6 weeks ago and has not received a software update to this point. YMMV but worth looking to see if it's in the menu for anyone seeking to shut it off.

How come mine doesn’t have that option?!

The feature doesn’t bother me but I’m in the same boat as you.
I looked all over but nothing.
I wonder if it’s a feature that was added as standard equipment 24-25 vehicles or was it a feature that was added after a Power Up update.

Took the ole girl on part of the GA Traverse on Saturday and stretched her legs. Was with a buddy in his Jeep with 37s and he drives like a mad man. We were doing close to 30mph at some points over what felt like test track for suspension. lol Being I don't have 5k miles on it yet I was a bit anxious I was going to beat a rattle out of her....but alas she took it like a champ and rides as quite and smooth as day one still. Spent the day Sunday doing a complete detail (exterior, interior, jambs, engine bay, undercarriage) because she came out of the trip quite dusty. Had the top open and that made the interior dusty also.

I’m jealous because you’re updated far ahead of me.🤬
