- 2024 Ford F 150 Tremor V8
SweetAt the dealer getting the brakes done after they started squealing a couple weeks ago and spotted this $135000 animal! So glad I bought a Tremor!![]()
Difficult to say how much the intake alone did for performance or fuel economy since I did the exhaust first and a week later the intake arrived and I installed it. That being said, I drive fast and my mileage increased.Update us Coyote lovers on the performance and fuel mileage after you get some miles on it. Would definitely appreciate it as I been side eyeing one for mine![]()

We've been doing lots of small roads trips as of late and with my fill up yesterday, the on-board distance to empty was as high or higher than the first day I took delivery. Only at the time of delivery, did ever see it predict above 1000kms. I filled it up and it estimated 993kms to empty. I then drove 73km home from the gas station and it never moved.
Previous to installing the intake and exhaust, I was as low as 890km distance to empty when full. Hoping to see that 1000+ return to the screen lol

Exactly my thoughts on doing the swap out for both parts. I can hear the engine much better now and listen to it purrrrrrr lolThanks for updating...
I'm not really looking at doing one for a performance boost or fuel mileage increase necessarily but hey a couple pony's more is always welcome.I'm more so thinking along the lines as to helping the engine out as far as breathing better and cleaner and maybe more longevity. I'm pretty sure the fuel mileage would increase slightly with as many long drives I do and I drive more along the conservative line maybe a little attitude once in awhile![]()

I’m in a similar boat, though I don’t have a whipple. I wheel my truck a lot and it gets toasty offroad, especially at low speeds with no airflow. Wondering if going this route would help me. What kit did you go with? How much work was it to install? Are you worried about it voiding any warranties?View attachment 40174
After spending the last few weeks tearing through a couple Raptors and Raptor R’s I’ve decided to finally take this transmission cooler project on. After some talks over beer about this whole thing with my development buddies we did question why penny pinchers at engineering decided not to include this from the factory but that’s a story for another day. Baby steps so far since working with the Whipple heat exchanger made it a little challenging but that parts done. Had clearance issues with the grille shutter bridge so now the shutters are gone as well. Didn’t want to do that but it is what it is. Another issue I didn’t notice was that the factory engine coolant fittings to the hard lines back to the factory transmission “cooler” was 5/8 while the Raptor/Police warmer are 3/4 so currently working through that now. Glad to finally take this on though, having the Whipple has made me want to preserve the driveline as much as I can and keeping temps down on this transmission was next on my list. Overkill for sure but that’s just my niche

Yeah a shared loop with the engine isn’t a brilliant idea either. I don’t know why Ford didn’t anticipate this. It’s crazy right? Hey let’s make an offroad focused truck where you’re crawling slow through trails working the heat up and not include an air to oil cooler. Makes no sense.
All the core parts are OEM from the Raptor/Police package but that’s because I wanted to keep the factory warming feature for the trans. These 10R80’s are very cozy at 200-220° but there’s no controlling the runaway hence my additions. The Raptor/Police package use a smaller warmer unit with a thermostat that diverts the transmission fluid to the air to oil cooler once it gets too warm.

Interesting. Where did you get all the parts from? How much were they? I’ll be curious to see how it performs. Do you have the 402a? Can you see raw trans temp fluid? I have a 401a and have to use my OBDLink MX+
Good pick with PPE. When I do my 40K trans service I’ll be adding one as well. Send pictures when you’re done. Want to make sure it fits with my RCI transmission skid plate.I’ll be continuing tomorrow, doing an PPE trans pan while I’m doing all this and will throw up some more info and parts. I got them from Ford parts directly. And yes I have 402A and used Forscan to add the temp readout to my cluster
It should fit. I have one with my Grimm transmission skid and it has a couple inches of clearance. I’ll try to get a picture for you today.Good pick with PPE. Good luck
Not bad! Thanks for sharingView attachment 40212
Maybe hard to tell with the lighting but there is at least 2 1/2” of clearance.
I wanted to get a K&N but after doing some research I decided to stick with OEM approved paper-filters. Sure it helps with throttle response (a bit) and maybe you'll gain 3-5 HP but the air entering your engine is not properly filtered and I want my F150 to last, especially with the track record of new trucks, I'm not taking any chances.Wasn't this week, but I changed out the cabin and engine Airfilter with some K&N drop ins 2 weeks ago.. No more musty smell and better gas mileage/ throttle tesponse...Video on youtubes if interested...View attachment 40270

It's even more important to properly filter the air going into your engine if you're offroad a lot. I only have 20K on the OD and I've replaced two filters already.
