What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Well I can tell you what someone else did to my Tremor:

A gentleman driving a 5500 series service truck rear-ended me at a light a mile from my home. He admitted to the police he wasn't paying attention.

It is the most disgusting, sickening feeling looking at this every day when I walk out my front door. I had all different mods planned, things I wanted to start doing with the truck and now, with 3000 miles on it, the truck has to go in for repairs.

I cannot wait for this to be fixed so I can forget about this ever happening. Luckily, the Ford dealer near my home is a Ford Certified Collision Center. I've decided to take it to them. I want someone aluminum specialized and to have it fixed with Ford parts. I spoke with the shop foreman and he gave me some confidence they know how to fix this properly.

Oh, and not shown, the right rear quarter has to be replaced. The guy pushed the bumper in so far it cut the corner open on the quarter. Shop has already said they will not repair the quarter. They only replace.

Ok I see what your saying, might be screwed because I doubt I'll strip wires like he did.
Guess I'll just use the Donger through the rear view mirror and not have the parking mode like I hoped.
If I did do the fuse taps then the fuse box cover would really pinch the wires and I'm not sure that's a good idea.
Thanks for that video.
I’m not sure if you’re interested in going this route but have you considered installing one of the small dash cam specific batteries?
You can use one and it’ll give you the parking mode you mentioned.
The batteries are very small and they can be charged by the 12v port in the vehicle or they can be hardwired.

The only bad thing about them is that they’re kind of pricey but nothing outrageous.

New bike rack setup. 8" Billie bars crossbars with Rocky mounts machten bike trays. Keeps the need completely usable, bal x4s rolling tonneau can open all way!
This is the post I’ve been wanting to see! So you can roll up your back x4S (I have the x4ts) all the way under both?? I got the TS with the intention of adding a rack system that I could easily remove if I wanted it off but still would like to use the x4ts. I’ve looked into the Billie bars but didn’t think it would go all the way back under both. Would love to use to carry kayaks so I might look into the taller versions but might consider the 8” and my hitch extender to keep a lower profile. Looks great!

Got my ATF report back from Blackstone. Somewhat optimistic about the 10R80 based on the report and the torture test I gave it on my road trip last year. 10k miles towing through a variety of grueling conditions.

I feel for ya man..... what did his vehicle look like after hitting that steel bumper

Barely a scratch. It was a big Chevy 5500 dually service truck. One with the big tool boxes on the back, welder, compressor.

He was working, driving a company vehicle, so I am sure he is going to face some repercussions from this.

Yes it does! I went with the 8" for that purpose. When I rolled it up the cover is basically 8" tall, but not until it gets to the bulkhead.

Awesome, I may reach out to BB to see if they would consider an option that is 8" that mounts to the t-slots. Right now their only t-slot options are 6" and then jump to 11, 17, and 24". The 17" and 24" allow it to clear but since they slant in diagonally it does rub the weatherstripping some on the side of the cover.

Depending where you mount the bars, the 6 may work, you'd just have to find the point your tonneau is 6" thick roclled up. The 8" clamp into the bed and I had to notch out the rails to make it fit flush.
