1.5" Level Kit

Hello - I too am looking for a 1.5" level for the front. I ordered the 1.5" motofab spacer lift, but after reading some comments I am concerned about wear. I understand why leveling in general can cause wear, but I'm having a hard time getting my head around the issues specifically for the "puck" style level and the excess stress? Does it put the shock at risk when a wheel is off the ground? Will only going 1.5" minimize risk? Outside of the winter months I would say I am off-road on moderate trails a few times a month.

So, I've been looking into a shock upgrade and most are more lift than I'd want. I like the idea of the adjustable Bilstein 5100, but they don't recommend them for tremor. And I keep finding that for other brands as well. I am thinking I will do the Motofab now and then check back next summer to see if there is anything new. Hopefully that will be okay.....
If your set to go with a spacer that's fine, the AS is highly recommended, but the adjustable coilovers can be adjusted to different amounts of lift, if you plan to use offroad or plan to upsize tires and change wheels this extra adjustability can save having to trim or other fixes you may have to do to get it to work properly.

So.... I towed a small 3700lb RV trailer approx 2500kms round trip to Nashville and back. Since it was a rental trailer i had no weight distribution hitch. The truck handled great but sat completely level. So now i am not sure if i want to lift the front 1.5 inches. I do not like the look of a truck that is nose high when towing (just a personal thing). I do want to add the RAS as i am looking at buying a bigger trailer and of course i will be running weight distribution as well. I might be waiting till next year until i buy the trailer and hook it up before i go ahead and install the 1.5 inch leveling kit.

So I am curious to hear if anyone has used the Bilstein B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) Suspension Shock to achieve a front end lift on a Ford Tremor? Seems this is a middle ground between spacers and new coil overs. Maybe I'm missing something but seems like this is a perfectly viable option.

I just got a quote from a shop for installing the b8 5100 on the front. They say it will give me 2inches lift and my CV's will still be fine. The other options were less front lift. I was aiming for 2inch because it seems thats what spacers give the smallest rake, without fucking up CV's.

Actually learning towards this kit https://www.ridefox.com/product.php...ake=Ford&model=F-150&year=2022&position=Front

only 1.5 inches but I offroad a lot with gear/gas in the bed so I think this would be good. Slightly more pricey but this is the way I am leaning.
I was going to go with the Fox shocks as well, but the shop that was doing the install said they "didn't know when they'd be in stock," and they had the adjustable 5100's so I went with those. I wanted 1.5" of lift, and at that setting on the shock the shop said it wasn't much above stock so they went up to 2" setting. After all that it's about 1.8" of lift. Haven't had them that long but they feel better than stock. I'll probably do another upgrade down the road.

Thanks! I might just go with the 5100's as I believe the fox won't adjust to 2. Appreciate you sharing you experience and pictures! I don't want to float 1500-2k for barely noticeable lift. And your CV's look just fine.

Impressions-

1.5" Motofab: Can't say I notice much difference in ride quality. Definitely enjoy the added height, in drivers seat. With Recons, definitely more aggressive, yet civilized. 295/70R18 have plenty of room, front and back (1/2 to 3/4) and plenty of room for UCA. Reasons for 1.5 (instead of bigger): mainly, I don't like deviating from engineered design more than I have to. Joints and angles are made the way they are for a reason from OEM. Worth mentioning also, when I called dealership a couple weeks ago to quote alignment, they volunteered that anything over 3" voids warranty on F150, and that with Tremor up 1" already, owners have 2" discretion.

Nitto Recon: I ordered the 116S (6 ply) from Discount, but after install and getting home, I realized they incorrectly installed a set of 129/126R (10 ply/E rated). Thought about returning, but (with a few days on them) while I can notice a difference, it's one I can live with. It's a truck. If doing over, may have gone with 285/75R18 instead, but me and 295/70 friends now.

RAS: As stated, I wanted to be able to handle plenty of payload with a more leveled truck (besides the fact I prefer a couple inches rake on a truck) and not squat. And anticipate a camper in next couple years anyway, so figured I might as well do RAS instead of reverting to original blocks, re rake. Super simple install.

Fuel will likely dip from 17.5 avg, with bigger/heavier tire and less rake. Can't tell if I'm imagining a slight decrease in power or not, with bigger/heavier tire, but not terrible.

Overall, very satisfied with choices. Hit exactly what I was shooting for.

Update: after 4k miles on the heavier recons, the 17.5 combined has only gone down to 17.2 combined.
Do you know the part number for the RAS? I have them left over from my 2018 Lariat and I think they will still fit.

I went with the standard duty 3611-Y kit.

Alright had the b8 5100's installed in the front. They were saying it was just under 2 inches of lift in the front. Looks very level, going to measure the rake again on a flat spot soon. Here are my CV's. Looks really clean and I can tell the approach angle is much better. chatgpt says that it went from 27ish to 31ish degrees. I was way to lazy to do the math :D

Does anyone know if 2 inch level will limit front suspension travel up and down? Therefor limiting articulation.. ? unsure.

I installed these and they are awsome

Did you install the springs as well or just the struts? I can’t decide between the two options. I’d like 1-5”-2” of lift but not looking to max out the strut for ride quality concerns.

Do that kit set at the 1.4" setting with stock height coils and you'll be right at 2" or use their 2.7" coils and you'll be right around the 2.5". Or at least should be.

I went with the Eibach strut and spring combo. Here are pics. I like the stance, however would like there to be more than 0.5” rake. May pull the trigger on a RAS for the rear. Should help the rake and keep it from squatting when towing.

Looks good. Did you go with this one? How is the ride vs stock?

Man i love that blue.

I think I get a direction and then get confused again and again….After a year my truck suspension must have settled as my measurements are not as high in the back as most.

Front: 38 1/8 and 38 1/4
Rear: 41 1/4 and 41 1/2

Rake of 3 1/8 and 3 1/4

I most definitely do not want to stretch the cv axles as I take my truck off road more than most. Was thinking the 1.5 was a safe bet due to the factory increase on the tremor. I don’t like the idea of hockey pucks but still not sold on a clip-strut due to mixed results and also feedback from vendors. Was told 6112s won’t work on the tremor…. Interested in fox but don’t want to waste my time if it won’t work. Halo lifts have a good following but mixed info on longevity.

Does anyone have pics of the cv axles on 1.5?

You will be fine up to 2.5"

Check out the level photo thread. They specify the lift manufacturer and amount of lift. I think I saw a couple cv angle photos there:
