What's new

A brief word on 2.5" Leveling Kits & CV Angles.

Sounds good.... I will probably just have a shop do it then for peace of mind. I am fairly handy but not very knowledgeable. When I was younger and stupider I would buy any part and just figure it out. That said, I think probably the most advanced thing I've ever done is a water pump swap.

Now I have been out of doing mechanical work for awhile and with hauling family/kids am more paranoid about what a torque spec is and may matter.

@nestera you could also run a 285/75 even easier, narrower and taller but fit's better and better performance.
2" Ready lift puck and 285/75/18 it looks great and rides great. I just got the truck Tuesday. I took measurements before and after in the exact same spot in my shop. Also have measurements for empty with full tank (36 gal.) and I carry a toolbox/with fuel tank in the back. There were so many measurements out there on the net which help me greatly but they seemed all over the place. I know every truck will be a little different.

I just installed the 2" Ready Lift last week and it netted me about 1 3/4" lift, it was the same on the RAM Rebel I had before. I was worried about CV angles and the auto headlight alignments on the Tremor, its not perfectly level but it looks soo much better without a bunch of negitive side effects.

Get the Halo kit finally installed tomorrow. Asked them to please adjust for a 2inch lift. They look spun all the way out so if they do not mess with I should get 1.5 inches? If I want 2 total I read somewhere one full turn is approx 1/4 inch??? Is that correct???

2 turns is just shy of .25”

So got a tad over 1inch. now to determine if i should attempt to raise a little for a total of 2.. Started at 38.5 and now a little over 39.5… Eve said if I adjust to raise an inch up should not have to realign. Shop did not give back spammer wrench dang it… Another way to adjust???

I use a set of 5/16 punches, I find it easier than the spanner wrench because I’m applying pressure to both punches at the same time. I purchased at harbor freight . Loosen the Allen set key up some and spray some wd40 on the threads and should easy enough also raise the truck to take some pressure off.

You need to realign

You need to realign
Cool. What’s best way to adjust? wheels on ground? Jack up? Really think this should be easy but looking for best guidance and confirm direction to increase lift.

Yeah just Jack it up so wheels are off the ground.

Yes sir. So far significantly noticed larger bump or pot holes are reduced to nothing little more sensitive than stock on normal roads and smaller bump events. Very pleased.

The RC is actually a 2.25-2.5 lift on our stock trucks, RC basically took an existing unit that provided 3" lift on the standard f150 and made it work for the tremor. Many people are running them on here, for the money they seem to be a good option and RC has apparently improved their products since I tried them 15-20 years ago, still have a bad taste from that and have been hesitant on chancing it.

Looking at the Halo coil over for 2” and the RAS on the rear for towing…. Thoughts on that set up or any suggestions?

Okay that seems like to much lift for what I'm wanting. Can the Eibach Pro-Truck Sport Shock (Part #: E60-35-037-08-10) designed for the Tremor models be used with the OEM parts, spring, etc? Or will that compress the spring too much for a difference in ride quality? I notice Eibach does sell the spring package as well but this kit says +2.7" Front. The at most additional lift over the 1" factory I want is another 2.0". Sorry if this information can be found elsewhere. I searched the forums and found a few guys that were running these Eibach set-ups but the links to them are now not found.

Most coilovers will lift our trucks at least 1", so if your wanting between 1"-2" find a coilover you like around 2.5" for the f150. Fox makes a snap ring one as does Bilstein that you can adjust, otherwise you will have to pay a little more to get one that is threaded to adjust it to the height you wanted. While it may not specify for the tremor most will work, they just don't specify for the tremor due to the fact you will not get the advertised height and will not get as much travel. Our trucks are designed to give more articulation than the F150 which requires more travel, if your not using it offroad a lot then you won't have to worry too much about the travel.

Now is it optimum no but it will work.
