Catalytic Convertor protection

Done. 25 minute job. Mine had the cardboard splash guard. Only needed 2 additional bolts and clips! Peace of mind well worth it. Do it if you live anywhere even near a city!

So if you have the fiber board you only need two of each of these?

Dampener u nut: W520813-S439
Front shield bolt : W500623-S439

Correct. Get under there and take a look. Super easy

Looks like Ford is changing it up again and W500623-S439 is "discontinued" so likely a PN change. I just love how easy their parts site makes it to hunt down revisions

I mean it's literally just a bolt. No big deal

I bought the specific hardware from the parts center at my local Ford dealer, but like @TexasTea said, it's nothing special 👍

Thanks to everyone who did the research on part numbers and provided input!

I used my Fordpass points to buy the plate and some additional hardware. Ford sent the plate to my dealer with no packaging, so the black paint was scratched down to the metal in many places. I bought a $12 rattle can of truck bed liner and sprayed a few coats on. After drying, it bolted right up.

I mean, I'm happy with your attention to detail .. but it's a skid plate. I fully plan to add dents and scrapes to mine! :)

Glad it worked out tho. Good peace of mind.

LOL, I was thinking more about the problems of rust come this winter than the pure cosmetics of it 😂

This thread has been great and thanks for all those who have posted! - I ordered all the parts one would expect Ford to include with an off road package - but unfortunately used oemfordpartsdirect.comm. First, they have the oil cover door listed wrong in their schematic, I asked them to verify and they didn't, so ordered blindly hoping it was right part, even though pictured wrong, and a week+ later it finally shipped and -F is just the small door!... Also had asked multiple times to have all parts wrapped, of course they just slapped a shipping label on the plate and it came dinged and dented - Rattled back to black, then went to install and they sent a sealed bag of W716831-S439 bolts that have no washer and are no where near m10X35mm. So given their lack luster history, not sure if it's a part number change or just their regular level of concern, but something to watch for if ordering.

Ordered W716831-S439 from FORD's parts website to local dealer and it had the wrong bolt in the bag too...went round and round with the parts guy that part listed as "m10x35mm Bolt" is not a part number change if the bolt in the bag is 8mm...Hmm, he finally agreed was wrong bolt in bag, nice job Ford!

Another satisfied Tremor owner here, thank you to this Forum and all of you that researched this issue and provided the part numbers, I just installed my Raptor skid plate over the cats, fits perfectly, piece of cake install and now a little more peace of mind

Hell with my 402a I'm worried about them stealing my tail lights now

ThickGatorade - In that diagram, part 15 appears to be:

HL3Z-7222-F

That will sometimes be referred to as Expedition Rear Shield - but it is the oil door.
HOWEVER: Check, as I read somewhere (Edit: Page 8 of this thread ) that the 5.0 Tremor required modification of that area of the plate and then that panel would not fit.

Much appreciated. After looking further into it the Carnivore engine oil pan has a 90° side exit like EcoBoost so I will just have to assume it’s all the same. Raptor does get a unique part number but it’s only likely due to a thicker gauge of steel or just simple FP things. I don’t really want to cut it but it would save almost $70 or so on an access panel and hardware. Other option was a fumoto valve and a tube for my oil changes.

Edit: Cross referenced some more and found the part numbers. Will be ordering today. Current prices are from Raceway Ford and they are linked below as well as part numbers. Doesn’t seem to change anything for a 5.0 owner though you’ll have to figure out your route of suffering like I will have to do when it comes to oil changes. Only real changes it seems are these are the 21+ part numbers but they seem to be the same regardless.

Skid plateML3Z-7222-D$104.05
Oil change coverML3Z-7222-B$89.26
Look at page 8 on this thread... my solution for 5.0

I ordered all the parts for the Raptor skid and oil drain cover from my local Ford dealer and can confirm as a couple previous posters said that the W716831S439 bolts for the skid plate came in with that part # on the bag but were 8mm instead of 10mm. They are ordering me four 10mm bolts to replace the 8mm. For anyone ordering this down the road, just make sure the four bolts for mounting the skid to the frame are 10mm regardless what the part # says. W716831S439 seems to be a mixup right now so double check this if you are ordering them or you'll be making a trip to the hardware store.
