F150 Tremor FORScan

I have made a few FORScan mods to date and have been testing additional mods for the Tremor specifically. I have enabled the digital gauges, bambi mode, auto start / stop disable and most recently enabling Glare Free / Adaptive driving lights.

I have completed the testing and confirmed error free operation for the glare free / adaptive adaptive beams. For those not aware the 402A (sorry everyone else) is equipped with adaptive driving beam capable head lights. Unfortunately they are disabled in the US trucks due to some outdated laws manufactures are limited by. Our friends in Canada and Europe get the more advanced system active by default, while we are stuck with auto high beams instead.

This is a slightly more complex FORScan mod due to multiple modules involved, but fairly simple once you are familiar with FORScan. Please backup you modules before making changes!

For those interesting in enabling this cool tech here are the as-built changes required (402A ONLY):

In the list below do not change the values in your as-built represented by "x"

Glare Free Menu (replaces Auto High beam) in APIM:
7D0-09-01 x1xx xxxx
7D0-09-03 xxCx xxxx
Note: a module reset in FORScan or power cycle is required for the menu to appear.

IPMA
706-01-01 xxxx xxx9

SCCM
724-04-01 xxx4 xxxx

IPC
720-01-01 xx8x xxxx
720-10-01 xxxx xxx3

HCM
734-01-01 xxxx xx01
734-01-02 x3xx xxxx
734-01-04 xx53 4E
This is still the way to go about getting the Glare Free headlights right? Just want to make sure it's current before I attempt.

You'll have to let me know if it works with the Job 2 trucks. I haven't tried yet

For #2:

See what value you have at this position:
726-02-02xxxx**xxxx--

I believe you will have a 01, try changing that to 02 to disable motion.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately, this did not disable the power tailgate.

Sorry I missed numbered that. That change should disable the in cab motion sensors for you. Item 1.

@Essavant For the tailgate try disabling it in the settings menu. I just tried this and it goes full manual on my truck.

Ah. You didn't miss number, i didn't pay attention! I'll try tonight. Thanks for the clarification. And I'm very sorry for the confusion.

But does the change stick? I tried that and it worked until i restarted the truck... Ive had to set that a number of times.
Admittedly I did not try try that.

To permanently disable it you can try this in the BCM. 00 sets the config to the same as a manual / non powered tailgate truck. I haven’t tested it so I would check for any unwanted side effects after the change before hitting the town.

Question.

Is there a way to lock the truck with the key fob inside while using the lock button on the driver side panel and NOT get a double honk?

I disabled double honk while truck is running with forescan, that works.

I also understand that you can lock the truck and NOT get a double honk if you lock the truck with key pad panel on outside door (holding 7-8/0-9) with fob inside.

Anyone?

I know its a pretty simple thing, but I have 5 years of locking my truck this way. Its a habit.

Works fine, pretty neat to be honest. Add it to your To-Do list.

Two things I'd like to change, let me know if anyone knows how to do either:

1) Single press to open tailgate. Why do I have to push the button twice?

2) Unlock doors when you approach (with key). I keep walking up to the back door to put my son in the carseat and forgetting to unlock the door with the drivers handle.

Auto Unlock would be rad. I’m still hoping for Phone as a key as well.

Second vote for both of these, putting my son in the back I always forget to grab the door handle first.

I just heard an interesting article on APM Marketplace (look for the podcast from 9/15) about these adaptive headlights. The guy they interviewed from the Insurance Institute eluded to the technology being included in cars starting in 2024 😉. But more importantly, it sounds like it's actually legal in the US as of March this year.

Adaptive headlights are already coming enabled on 22 f150s. Mine had it on from the factory. I love the convenience of it.

Are you sure? I had to enable mine with Forscan.

I’m fact some of the later 402A trucks don’t have the hardware for it I believe.

Am I misunderstanding what adaptive headlights are? It's basically just auto hi beam / low beam right? Swaps when it senses light from other cars. Or is it something else?
