F150 Tremor FORScan

Just wanted to thank @Robb1 and everyone in the thread... Spent a couple hours on this today and did all the changes I wanted including adaptive lights and Lincoln fold mirrors, double honk delete, cameras at high speed, couple other small things.

Really make a difference. The tutorial made it all really easy, very well written.

I also did the humidity strategy turn off, will see if it helps with the recirculation not turning off.

By Lincoln fold mirrors do you mean where the glass tilts down when you put it in reverse, or where they auto fold in when the doors are locked? I thought I had heard that the 21+ trucks had the auto fold in option in the menus - no Forscan needed for that now.

The difference is the ford's unfold when you unlock every time, the Lincoln's unfold only on ignition. Which I prefer.

Hmm. I did that Forscan change on my '17 and they unfold every time I open the driver's door, so if the 21+ models have updated to unfold only on ignition with this Forscan change I would agree that is better. But is truly is in the menus now from the factory?

Just wanted to follow up that the HVAC change has seemingly worked, and the recirculation hasn't turned off since. No noticeable downside or negative effect otherwise.

The front camera at speed did not work though, still can't access it. Anyone else have that issue? I tried turning on both camera forscan adjustments, is it one or the other?

Thanks for the feed back on the HVAC mod.

The front camera at speed only works in 4x4 drive modes (Rock crawl, mud ruts), otherwise it will cut out at ~5 mph.

We have not found a way to disable the speed related inhibits with forscan yet. Leading theory is it might be imbedded in the software and not changeable via the as-built values.

That explains it. I wasn't in 4x4 drive mode. Would it work in 4A normal?

@Robb1 sensei, any tips on recalibrating speedo with forscan?

I've been reading through this thread, but it also leads to comments about it not working on 21+

What are your thoughts ?
No direct experience personally. I haven’t changed tire size yet and my speedo is with 0.5 mph at high speed so no reason to mess with it.

I would give the instructions here a try: post #1 (two lines for the values) and link over to the mustang forum for instructions

Going to try it this weekend.

Basically input into his excel, and then change the values accordingly. Doesn't seem too difficult.

.....aaaand the truck explodes

In general with a change like this sometimes the results aren’t exactly as expected, so make a note of your error before the change and then after. Then if it isn’t exactly as expected you can do some quick math and fine tune it. Split the difference in the value for example.

Well hopefully not that dramatic :p

I try stuff no one has tried before all the time. Back up ideally or writedown the factory values and you should be able to put the fire out.

Thanks for bringing this up guys. I didn't check mine yet but assuming it is off with the current 295/70/18. I was reading up on this earlier before adding the rims / tires and seems like nobody got it down for the 21's. I just started using FORScan and wasn't about to try to pretend to be a pro at it. I was thinking 1" increase, how much can it be off lol. I will probably try this weekend too.

I did the speedometer today using forscan and the link to the spreadsheet, worked perfectly. Tested it with a speed limit sign and it was spot on.

Also went in to disable the fake engine sound and I found that ours, mine at least, was already set to 0, so it doesnt have it on apparently.

Thanks. I am going to attempt mine. I am assuming this is the link you used below? I didn't read yet but assuming it's just changing codes and no resetting some other things? Thanks again.

I think the engine noise is specific to the B&O unleashed. Great news on the speedo!

I have the B&O unleashed, and it was set to 0 on that code. Is there a separate B&O setting to remove it?

No that’s the position for the B&O in the ACM. Mine was active from the factory. Maybe Ford gave up on it. Positive change in my opinion.

It can be enabled / disabled with FDRS at the dealer as well
