What's new

F150 Tremor FORScan

Correct, the excel sheet you input your tire specs and it adjusts the code to what yours should be.
Thanks @ Cranbery for dumbing it down for me. I finally figured it out. Only took a handful of direct message conversations 😂 Thanks again.

Also went in to disable the fake engine sound and I found that ours, mine at least, was already set to 0, so it doesnt have it on apparently.
Can you crank it to 11 just in case you want to impress the ladies? I’m picturing pulling away from a stop light ever so slowly but inside the truck it sounds like the Daytona 500

Wait till I get the new sub and amplifier... It's going to be Indy 500 in that bitch

Just ordered the cable. Will be doing some changes this weekend.

@Robb1 can I use the same computer and forscan program for my truck and my wife’s bronco?

Cool - just wasn’t sure if it saved info in the software so that switching the set up from vehicle to vehicle would cause an issue.

From what I’ve read, it sounds like you pretty much are just reading and writing to the vehicle and basically start with whatever current programming is on that vehicle.
Yes definitely.

Correct. Any profiles you create or as-built backups will be saved separately by VIN and configuration. No issue at all moving vehicle to vehicle.

Just got the modules backed up and went to do my first mod.

Dbl horn honk disable.

The spreadsheet shows this being under module BCM but I don't have a BCM. I do have a BdyCM module and thats the one that gets modified in the youtube example film.

Help?

BCM is BdyCM

BCM is BdyCM
Thanks. Next question, the address in the YouTube video and the spreadsheet are different for the dbl honk disable. I assume I need to go with the spreadsheet since it is updated.

Correct

Solved a bunch of confusion today as I was going through to disable the double honk, set bambi mode, etc. When I went to make the changes, the address values were already ready what the spreadsheet told me to change them to. Odd.
After some back and forth to make sure I was doing things right, it dawned on me that this is a used vehicle and I guess the changes could have been made by the previous owner.

Turned the truck on, got out and shut the door with the key in my pocket - no honk. Son of a...

Now I need to ask the previous owner if he has the original back up files.

I did do the DRL full brightness mod today and I think it worked. Next up is the speedo calibration.

Just did the speedometer adjustment. Got it within 0.4 mph at 75. That will do for now. I was about 3mph off.
BTW - the interior work surface is worth it if just for Forscan mods.

Has anybody have any luck with this on Mac book (something like the CrossOver software, mentioned in Youtube vid)? Want to get in and change a few things on truck, OBDLink should be here Wed, but no longer have Windows laptop. Will buy a cheap one to utilize if necessary, but would rather not.

Thanks!

(Wait, can you run via iOS? Was under the impression FORScan was Windows only)

Was anyone able to figure out enabling the mirror lights at speed?

This forum has been great, and I’ve enjoyed my experience with forscan so far but have run into an issue I’ve seen posted elsewhere.

I have a 22 402A and, for the past week, have been attempting to add the glare-free headlight option. I can make changes to every module except the IMPA. I'm using the OBDLink EX adapter, and when I write the changed code, I get a service interrupted error. I’ve tried resets on computer and forscan, not loading profile, resetting the module before making changes, and nothing has worked. I’ve heard other people who have had this problem getting a patched forscan versions and were then successful, but forscan has paused that due to the Russia-Ukraine War. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated.

Thanks

Well it helps, but maybe not in a positive manner for giving you a solution. You have 00 in the position which equates to Default Oil life Disabled. Now that could mean that disabled defaults to roughly 10k miles / 16093 km or that changing this setting will have no effect on our trucks.

You can test changing to: 720-05-01 xxxx xxxx 04 - -

That would in theory set you to 5k miles / 8047 km or 6 month default oil life. Worst case scenario it does nothing and you just change it back to stock 00. Best case it achieves your goal.
Alrighty @Robb1 bringing this subject back up. Almost due for another oil change and this setting didn’t change much I’m 6200 km deep and says 55% left (8000km-10,000 oil change goal). Any other suggestions or is this dream dead?

Maybe not completely dead, but we may have to try a few things to see if we get lucky.

What do you have OEM in this (*) position:
