I liked the tailgate spoiler but once I realized it would cover the step I wasn’t interested.Roof and tailgate spoiler look interesting.
Funny, that's exactly why I like it. Well, i wasn't smart enough to get the step but if it covers the clamp holes, that will helpI liked the tailgate spoiler but once I realized it would cover the step I wasn’t interested.
I might do the rear roof spoiler though.
I paid $400 to have them painted too match. I installed them myself. It is a little tricky because the Bushwacker brackets for the front are not perfect. The supplied rubber seal that applies to the flare was about 6" too short but Bushwacker sent me another complete package of seal. It was the first time I had applied flares and all in all it went pretty well. My biggest problem was finding the time to install because of my work schedule. I had Laton's body shop in Albemarle NC paint them for me. Great body shop. They may install them I never asked because I do all of my own work. # (704) 982-8711 Rick (owner) and Ryan (son)I just got the quote, said $500 to paint, $300 to install. They acted like they had never seen a fender before. I am not feeling real confident about their abilities and he said he won’t be very sturdy and could come off easily if I went thru a regular car wash ( not that I plan on doing that ) but I’m definitely not going to use that shop.
MotoJo….. yours are the Bushwacker extend a flares, right?
I can’t remember if your in NC, if so I think I would drive to your shop if it’s up to 2 hours away.
You said $400 for paint, what was total costs with install?
Thanks!
Great, the shop that quoted me was criticizing the design and made me doubt the fit. After you received the rubber seal does everything fit good and tight?I paid $400 to have them painted too match. The only way fender flares are going to look good not painted is if the bumper is black. Otherwise, they just look out of place. That's even how it is in the examples you included.I love them. Even not painted. As a former Gen 2 and Gen 3 raptor owner I think I'm going to put them on my 22 Atlas Blue Tremor, as is. Paint matching reminds me of guys who paint match the Raptor fender flares and bumpers - instantly makes a raptor into mall crawler starbucks crawler imo. The point of the matte black plastic cladding is to protect the body from scratches and brush striping and so forth. Having it paint matched turns it into a mall crawer imo, might as well put 20" wheels on it while you're at it. It's an off-road truck not a show piece, maybe just buy lariat if you're going to just make a good clean matched truck. Just a contrasting opinion food for thought. I would never think to color match them on my Gen 3, but to each their own, some reference pics attached.
Maybe you're right... I can't wait for someone to post a pic with the fenders on unpainted so we can all check them out. Another option maybe is to wrap the fender flares and wrap the bumper painted areas the same wrap color? The only way fender flares are going to look good not painted is if the bumper is black. That's what @LDS did with his, I posted it on the previous page of this thread, but I'll show it again here. Raw flares and black bumpers. It looks good.Maybe you're right... This is what I'm leaning towards on my Oxford White, but the fenders without rivets. That's what @LDS did with his, I posted it on the previous page of this thread, but I'll show it again here. Raw flares and black bumpers. It looks good.

I agree, I just really like these fenders and they only come with these chrome bolts...makes me sad. The other available options all look a little weird black IMOThis is what I'm leaning towards on my Oxford White, but the fenders without rivets.
Might be waiting a while. I believe he is painting his.I'm waiting for a picture of the unpainted Bushwacker fender flares installed. The flares @Badmothertrucker posted.
Yes must likely I am painting. I’m not sure if I’m keeping the bushwhacker extend a flares. They had surface scratches all over and 2 had nicks in them. I’m also not crazy about how they install.Might be waiting a while. I believe he is painting his.
Dang... if it didn't have those little pockets I'd buy them right now. Idk how I feel about that part, but the shape is really nice!Yes must likely I am painting. The air design fenders have a really solid installation what @LDS installed.
These RC fenders just dropped in the last day and I do like this design as well.
Decisions, decisions…

I’d like to paint active orange accents in those little slots but can imagine it would be price prohibitive for what I want to spend.Dang... if it didn't have those little pockets I'd buy them right now. Idk how I feel about that part, but the shape is really nice!
I as well ordered the rockers and plan on installing this weekend, or at least mocking them up to see how they look. Will the hood scoop even fit on our trucks with the vents? It looks close...I’d like to paint active orange accents in those little slots but can imagine it would be price prohibitive for what I want to spend.
This is a great 4 minute video of air design products. I just ordered the lower door rocker panels and rear roof spoiler. I’m seriously considering their fender flares as well. I’m just waiting to see if the satin black finish on the other two pieces I ordered looks good on my lead foot. If it looks good I’ll probably order their fender flares in satin black. If the satin black doesn’t look so hot I’ll get the unpainted fender flares for $100 less and get all 3 pieces painted at once. I also do like the hood scoop but gotta have some money for food and water lol.
Are the 21s released yet?Well, I went ahead and ordered these painted to match. So we will see whenever they come in how it works out as far as the camera and what not....fingers crossed and I will keep y'all in the loop too.
Supposedly these are the 21s. I asked several times/people and they confirmed. This site says so, but Xenon hasn't released them on their site nor have I got a confirmation email when I asked them. Are the 21s released yet?
I think so, check out my hood width compared to the pic with the hood. We should be good.I
