What's new

Fozzy’s Build Thread

Well, my weekend project had a set back. The steps come in two boxes. I received one for a 21-22 F-150 and one box for a 2019 Ram 1500. Totally sucks because they don't know where the other boxes are. Some Ram owner is in the same boat as I am somewhere in the world. My new drone showed up so I messed with it all day instead. After honey dews of course.

I just ordered it also! I didn't think they were shipping until August. Did you order from DJI site?

I ordered on launch day directly from DJI. I have a lot of drones and my Mini 2 is by far my favorite due to its size. It goes with me everywhere. I have been waiting to get the Smart controller for it. So as soon as I saw the Mini 3 rumors with RC. I ordered it with no hesitation and made the first round of deliveries. The fly time is unreal with the extended batteries and this thing flys like a dream. I can make buttery smooth banking turns with it easily. The screen on the RC is pretty good, but I will probably get the RC Pro when and if compatibility comes to the Mini 3 as I skipped the Mavic Pro 3 Cine.

Literally same boat, i love my mini 2. I waited a week to order the DJI. Hopefully get it soon.

What is going on with shipping these days? My Amp steps showed up with two different boxes for two different trucks. Now my Powertrax showed up and Fed Ex lost the side rail box. Both instances the product is now back ordered with no delivery of the missing parts in site.

I did manage a to put the finishing touches on my air bag set up. $2.00 mod and they look pretty close to the truck color.

A few small things showed up this weekend. Cheap F-150 rear seat bag from Amazon. Put all the blankets and Orange mud covers in it for now.

Rear seat storage from Ruff Tuff. It is designed to hold guns, but my kid will fill it with junk. I liked the spreader bar that they use vs just the strap.

What compressor are you using for your bags - an air lift one?
No, the onboard airbag compressors are a waste for me. Their ugly, expensive and built cheap. They can’t do anything but fill the bags. More parts and pieces to leak and fail. I run 3-5 lbs when not towing and 40 lbs towing my boat. I can fill them with a bicycle pump If I had to. I check the tires on my boat every trip so i just fill them at the same time. I usually have my Power Tank with me when I travel. I also just picked up the new M18 inflator and its bad ass. With their 1/2 impact and this inflator they can take care of almost everything but setting a bead. I guess a match and starting fluid and the Power Tank will be SOL.🤣

That is bad ass!
I might have to get that even though I have an inflator just cuz, video is awesome. I feel like inflating tires and drinking beers!

This is my fourth truck with this stupid fob. I don't know what it is about it, but I am always setting off the panic button.

Decided to try the AJT Design injection molded fob case. It just came off pre order and shipping. This is a permanent mod to the fob so I hope I like it. They are very popular with the Toyota crowed and have a cool beefy look to them. It is slightly bigger.

The blue kinda matches my truck. They have it in a few colors. I think it looks very Tremorish. All the buttons work just fine. The tailgate and panic button are a shorter throw and a little harder to press. Plus the buttons being below the case it may help me from setting the panic button off. We will see.

IMG_2265.webp

The door comes off the back and can store the physical key. I did not put it in the case yet. Not sure if it would be usable as there is no leverage to turn it with the other part of the fob gone.

IMG_2266.webp

With the door open the key would go in the little slot when you take the rest of the fob off. There is a gasket that seals the battery and makes it dust and splash proof.

Didn't even know this existed... Fk fozzy. Now I have to buy it because it's so much better looking than the regular key.

Looking good man! Stop having so many good ideas (I'm stealing the gauge and bag fill placement ideas too).

Yoooo this is sick! I might have to see about color matching this using the orange that was found....

If he says no, I'm going to order a white one and paint it.

How do you like it so far? Ordered mine before I realized you actually have to cut apart the stock fob (my dad's 15 f150 you took the while thing apart just to change the battery, cutting wouldn't have been necessary). Figured worst case scenario it could be my spare, but am a little hesitant to destroy a fob on my new truck.

Man I’ve got to get one of those M18 inflators. I have the original M12 and I’ve about melted it down. It was good for car tires but not so great for bigger truck tires. Probably the only Milwaukee tool I’ve bought and had any sort of disappointment in.
