Fozzy’s Build Thread

Going to go ahead and order these since I've already cut mine off lol. Wondering what the quality of their shocks is. Just sent them an e-mail to see if they need a 22 Tremor to test on.
I think the "Dirt Logic" coil overs ride like a tank, but I haven't used them in years so maybe they're better.

It's really about the wheel offset. If I had the recommended wheel offset I would have minimal trimming, But with my wide tires and negative offset there is a lot of trimming. Crash bars would have to go for sure and trimming on a 4" even with a positive offset wheel. I am going to order the Fabtech rear tapered crash bars to see if they will fit with my set up so I at least of one set. Then build a small tube bumper with skid in the front to tie everything back together.
Are you getting rubbing on your bumper? I'm rubbing on the bumper and the back of the wheel well right now after trimming the crash bars.

For daily driving I have zero rubbing. Off roading its going to rub. I have cut both the rear fender and bumper. Need to trim the bumper a little more, just been to hot here to keep me motivated.

Well my Bed Rug mat showed up after 8 weeks on back order and it fits like crap. Big gaps around the edges. I may go to the full Bed Rug as I have loved them on every other truck I have had. Got the Retrax Powertrax on and started looking at bed storage under the canister.

The Sidio half crates where awesome in my Expy but are not weather resistant. So I bagged that idea.

Cranberry had this great idea with the ROAM case. I didn't like the way it pushed my drain tubes so bad it caused them to unseat. Fits super tight but sticks to far out past the canister for my liking.

Ended up taking MOHunters idea with the Front Runner Wolf Pack Pro's. They fit under perfectly and still give room on the sides for smaller stuff and fit just as much gear as the ROAM case.

Side Note

Looking at the Front Runner gear yesterday I picked up these cool chairs.

The bag is optional.

Super compact for a folding chair

Well built and comfortable for such a small chair.

Hey man when you install the BDS traction bars can you take a pic of where they attach on the axle? I want to see if they will fit next to where my sway bar attaches. I think they will.

Had a lot come up this weekend and only got this far. But here is a pic of the mount to the axle. Bolts directly to the bottom of the stock axle pad. No left or right bracket, tabs are centered in the middle of the bolts. Diff and shock mounts are still the lowest point even thought the pic doesn't show it. I will get more and better pics once I am done with the install. Hope this helps

Got the traction bars installed and have put a few hundred miles on them, from dirt, asphalt and concrete. I must say they have stiffened up the rear by at least 40% on overall ride. All the axle wrap is gone and it drives forward like a freight train. With the 37's, added lift and super soft springs the axle wrap was crazy bad. Not sure if all the Gen14's have the same soft springs or only the Tremor but is was bad. I would think it would even be a problem at stock height with larger more aggressive tires and some throttle. I was originally going to add the Fox 2.5 Elite's but I may not other than just for baller looks. So different to drive now it's crazy, Haven't towed with it yet, but know its going to be awesome and take a lot of stress of the drivetrain.

As seen above, installing the rear brackets is nothing more than unbolting the u-bolts and installing a washer and plate. Then re-torquing the bolts, BDS says 100 pounds and Ford says 110 so I went 105 just for fun. Everything will need to be checked and torqued again in 500 miles.

Installing the front bracket you need to ream out the hole where the two pieces of frame come together.

Reamed it out and hit it with some Steel-It paint.

The kit came with this crazy bracket that lets you fish it into the frame as a backing plate for the front mount.

Then make sure the springs are seated in the bars and measure to 60" and install. Grease and adjust to your liking. You need a Needle for the low profile zerks on the front. Regular zerk on the rear.

You can adjust them at the large heim end by the axle from full lock out like a solid bar would be or almost no engagement. BDS recommends the second setting for towing that puts the spring at 25% engagement force. I left it there and have not played with it. I have not put the BDS stickers on, I may wrap or powder coat them blue for some bling and salt and sand protection. Love them so far and if you have your Man Card, super easy to install.

Have you tested to see if you lost any articulation in the rear?

Wondering how this would compare to the RAS system. What was the cost for this?

The RAS is supposed to help with axle wrap and help level the load. I already did bags and cradles, not sure how the RAS would deal with the added tire and lift. BDS has been doing their flash sales. Can't wait for the UCA's to go on sale and I will have the complete system. Full price is $1070.00 for the complete kit. Their flash sales have been 20% off so I jumped on them. They where $850.77 to my door directly from them. You can find them for the same price if you shop around. I think Jack-it sells them for that, but you may get tax and shipping, which I didn't get dinged with.

Haven't updated in this thread in a long time. Been posting in the What have you done thread.

UCA's came in.

Had them and the traction bars powder coated as close to the Atas Blue as I could get.

Fox finally sent me the Perfromance Elite front shocks. They have been backordered for months.

Installed the new UCA's and Fox's

Fox and King are my favorite suspension. Went with the Fox's because they came with the BDS kit. Fox has the best daily driver valving of anything coilover I have ridden on. And with the High and Low speed adjustments you can dial them in for any terrain.

Did the Raptor rear diff cover for now. I hope Banks makes one of their new covers. They are the only cover on the market that is better than a stock cover.

Few little things in the mix.

Tail gate letters, not sure about them. But every time I see them on someone else's truck I love them.

I went against the grain and did not do the Truxmats. They look amazing, but to many clips to worry about as often as I take mine out to shake them off or use them as a changing mat.

3D Maxspider mats have a "Tremor" look in my opinion and fit well. They have been in my truck for the entire Utah winter and they did great.

My truck came with carpet mats and these rubber ones.

IMG_0009.webp

Better looking and fit so much nicer. I also like how the come up to the seat riser.

Same here on letters lol.

Nice find on mats those look great. Hell the back looks pretty close to tuxmat coverage at the front. I imagine the bit under the seat has a raised section as well?

Still trying to catch my tread up.

Installed the TRUSS rack from UPTop Overland. I got the one that works with the rails in the Retrax cover. It's made of Aluminum and super light. But when its all bolted together its super sturdy.
