Got the traction bars installed and have put a few hundred miles on them, from dirt, asphalt and concrete. I must say they have stiffened up the rear by at least 40% on overall ride. All the axle wrap is gone and it drives forward like a freight train. With the 37's, added lift and super soft springs the axle wrap was crazy bad. Not sure if all the Gen14's have the same soft springs or only the Tremor but is was bad. I would think it would even be a problem at stock height with larger more aggressive tires and some throttle. I was originally going to add the Fox 2.5 Elite's but I may not other than just for baller looks. So different to drive now it's crazy, Haven't towed with it yet, but know its going to be awesome and take a lot of stress of the drivetrain.
As seen above, installing the rear brackets is nothing more than unbolting the u-bolts and installing a washer and plate. Then re-torquing the bolts, BDS says 100 pounds and Ford says 110 so I went 105 just for fun. Everything will need to be checked and torqued again in 500 miles.
Installing the front bracket you need to ream out the hole where the two pieces of frame come together.
Reamed it out and hit it with some Steel-It paint.
The kit came with this crazy bracket that lets you fish it into the frame as a backing plate for the front mount.
Then make sure the springs are seated in the bars and measure to 60" and install. Grease and adjust to your liking. You need a Needle for the low profile zerks on the front. Regular zerk on the rear.
You can adjust them at the large heim end by the axle from full lock out like a solid bar would be or almost no engagement. BDS recommends the second setting for towing that puts the spring at 25% engagement force. I left it there and have not played with it. I have not put the BDS stickers on, I may wrap or powder coat them blue for some bling and salt and sand protection. Love them so far and if you have your Man Card, super easy to install.
