Halolifts Coilover - Group Buy Info in First Post!

I talked to Kevin at Halolifts today. As @apachedriver64 said, he answered and is very happy to answer any questions you have. We talked a bit about having a specific Tremor kit and how many of us Tremor folk are looking for a good coilover solution. I asked if he would be open to a group buy at some point and he would if we could get enough people in the buy. I don't know what 'enough' is but I'm guessing 5+.

Right now these are in the top of the running for me on coilovers. Its these or rough country and I just cant help but think the ride on the RC's will be, well, rough.

They did a group buy for a Ford forum in 2014, they had about 18 then, sold them back then for $800 for the front coilovers and rear shocks, no UCA. If I can find the post I'll share it but I'm pretty certain that was the price they did and what was included, if they would do something similar I'm sure we could get 10-15 on this. Might wanna get them on this forum, they were on that forum. I'm still curious on the extended and compressed lengths on the rear shocks.

I forgot to ask that question. 🤦

Would definitely be in for a group buy if that's an option. Was leaning RC, but like this idea much more

There's the link from way back when you the group buy the did then.

Potentially in for Group Buy

Following for potential group buy. Been waiting for something that was more Tremor specific and hopefully a performance positive.

New to the forum, have a black Tremor 402A scheduled to be built end of Aug.
I’m in for the group buy.
Are we looking at the kit that comes with everything (rear shocks etc) or just the coilovers?
Honestly I might skip the rear blocks, I just want to raise the front a couple of inches. I don’t mind a little bit of rake.

Personally interested in the coilovers, maybe the rear shocks but not till I find out the extended and compressed lengths, otherwise it will be the Bilstein 5165.

I’ll keep a tab of how many are interested and reach back out to the guy. I’m thinking it might just be for the coilovers as some don’t want the rear suspension. That could also be added for those that do.

I wonder if it’s better to purchase their upper control arms with those coilovers.

Has the minimum lift height been determined to fit a 34.5" tire? Independent of any overall leveling, just what's needed to fit the tire. I'm sure wheel offset and section width of the tire plays a role as well. (For me it's +18 offset and 11.7" section width)

It'd be nice if these Halolift coilovers provide enough lift to fit the tire without going too high.

When I talked to Kevin he said he would recommend and aftermarket UCA if you were lifting high enough to fit 35's. Not sure if they make their own but they do sell SPC UCA's. If I'm buying a pair of UCA's these are the ones I'm buying after watching the video @Yeti posted in the Suspension section.

I've got the procomp 2.5" and barely clear 35" KO2's at the crash bar. The actual size of those are 34.5". My wheels are a +20 so that probably doesn't help.

When talking to the guy at Halolifts, he mentioned that their test Tremor had 35" Ridge Grapplers which I think are 34.75". He did say that there was rubbing with the coil overs maxed at 3" of lift. Apparently they were able to trim the crash bar a little to make it work. Not sure of his wheel specs.

I would actually prefer less lift but still keep the tire size. 2" would be ideal for me which I think would be 3" on these coilovers.

This takes me back to the SPC UCA's. They have some cool adjustment options that actually let the wheel/tire be moved forward/backward in the wheel well during alignment. I wonder if anyone has messed with this on a F150 yet?

Tons of people have used the SPC over the years, by far one of the better UCA'S out there.

I have the SPC UCAs, they're great so far.
