Honest Eibach Review Needed

This sums things up quite nicely. Same conclusion I have come to. It would be nice if someone made something that provides 2 legit inches of lift FOR A TREMOR, similar factory like handling qualities on the road, capable enough off road, and that isn’t ridiculously expensive.
I think some of y’all are overthinking this. You just described my experience with the Eibach 2R kit perfectly. Like I can’t describe it any better than it gave me 2” in the front, on road is similar/improved over stock, off-road is improved over stock and it was under $2K. Did I turn my tremor into a raptor for under $2K? No. But it doesn’t feel like a boat on the road anymore and control is improved off-road. It’s still the best $2K suspension for the tremor out there based on my experience and numerous posts to the same effect over the last year and a half.

Sometimes you just have to pay to play.😎

I agree. I have my fronts set to the factory settings. I got about 1.5” of lift. The truck rides and handles better than it ever did with the stock shocks. IMHO these are the shocks the truck should have come with in the first place.

Anything more expensive is going to need to be maintained more often than the Eibachs too. I was seriously considering getting the Fox 2.5s but then I found out that they need to be serviced every 30-50k miles. For me that would be every 2-3 years. I don’t have anywhere I can tear down my truck and let it sit for a couple of weeks while the shocks are being serviced so that’s a non starter for me.

That is exactly what I’m looking for. 2” level with good ride and safe angles.
I’m told in order to get 2” lift I gotta damn near max out the adjustment. At which point preload is so high, low speed hits like speed bumps or driveways are harsh.

Others have also reported noises running in 4Auto at 2” of front lift… that won’t work for me in Canada… I love 4A on questionable roads. Part of the reason I bought a tremor was to get the best 4A system available.
This is the type of inconsistency I’m finding with the Eibach system

What tires? And what are your current height measurements at wheel arch?

The point about servicing more expensive shocks is valid. I’m not rallying my truck. I just want a bit of a level and I’m not willing to do pucks.
If I can get 1.5” front lift, run my stock UCAs, and improve the ride characteristics. I’d be a very happy customer.
I don’t think I can justify the resi rear shocks tho. The videos I watched online said they couldn’t notice a difference between the resi and non resi rear shocks. They also said by the time the non resi shocks start to fade so do the non resi coil overs 🤷.

I’m gonna try the standard rear shocks. I think they will be more reliable in colder climates too. I have noticed some complaints about the reservoir shocks leaking at the fittings.

I got the kit installed on stock tires a year ago. Went from 38” the day before to 40” the day after. I haven’t re-measured to check for settling but will.
So then perhaps all this variability in lift is more a Ford issue and not an Eibach issue? My front sits at 38.5”.

Did you take any preload out? Or installed them as they were shipped ?
They went in as is. Had actually wanted maybe a half inch less but miscommunicated with the shop and it looked so good I let it ride figuring I can adjust them down myself if I wanted. That is one of the pros of these too that I think has been mentioned at some point in the thread, you can adjust them while on the truck without a spring compressor unlike some others.

That’s what I’m wondering too. I also already had over 50K miles when I did the swap, my OEM setup may have settled more than others.

I’m eagerly awaiting some real world reviews on how these work on a Tremor. Supposed to provide just a wee bit more lift (per Eibach) than the stage 2’s. But I want to know how they ride. I’m ready to buy, but don’t wanna be a guinea pig!

Same!! I will probably pull the trigger next year on some sort of leveling kit. 6112/5160s. or the 3R. I would probably pair it with some icon Delta pro tubular control arms which only adds to pain in my wallet.

I don't mind the Rake near as much when I start looking at the cost of some of these kits.

Stage 2r, install book says 90mm max gap from collar to base on the spring collar. What is the factory safe gap? and what are people adjusting it to?

I think the consensus is most people are taking preload out. Or installing as is out of the box as they ship with “max recommended preload” sounds like those who tried to push them to 2” of lift hated the ride.
I just ordered a set. I just had to accept that I’m only going to get 1”-1.5” of lift.
I personally can’t justify going into undesirable CV angles / ball joint stress territory.
Nor can I justify serious off-road rally suspension when I won’t be doing that with my truck.

I took a little out, but didn't measure a baseline so wondered what it was.
Just looking to keep it all happy and in range.
Jump to pre-runner class sus is a little high, and the desert of southern Ontario is pretty green and flat.

From the box they are max. My shop left it max. Feels fine. Nothing harsh. No topping harshly or bottoming.
