M1 rears are close to our specs as well

Has anyone had the monotubes or halos then switch to the M1s? Curious the ride differences. Either way, how's the ride compared to stock with the M1's now?

I can tell no difference, rides great.
 
I contacted Bilstein this week on using the standard F150 5100 series adjustable ride height strut on a Tremor. This was the response I got:

"Thank you for contacting Bilstein of America.

Unfortunately dampers from a non Tremor F-150 would be incompatible with your vehicle. Tremor models use a different coil spring as well as a longer shock absorber than other models of F-150. We do not recommend you use these products on your vehicle. Doing so is considered a misapplication and does void the limited lifetime warranty on the product. Bilstein is in the process of R&D for dampers specific to the Tremor sub model however we have no ETA on when these products may be released at this time. Thank you."

Good to hear something is in the works from Bilstein that can give lots of adjustability since most of the kits go much bigger in the 2-2.5" range that end up with more extreme CV angles.

The coil on the Tremor is longer and rated heavier than the standard F150, that is where the inch more height comes from, and while kits state they give 2" to 2.5 " on the standard f150 on the Tremor that means 1"-1.5".

I've been in Bilstein's ear for the last few months constantly, once a week at least, they probably hate me at this point. I've been requesting they make a mid and high end coilover available.

Yeah Fox says it’s the coil as well which is why their snap rings work close to advertised height while their full coilovers are short advertised height.

Ive got an idea that i want to share:
Eibach 21-22 Tremor specific kit turns out to be a 15-20 F150 kit with matching part numbers (non Tremor 21-22 F150 have a new part #).
Eibach coil gives +2.7" on Tremor (already tested by another member here and confirmed +2.5" of lift when installed with Eibach strut (for Tremor 21-22 and 15-20 F150).
Further, Eibach coils compatible with Bilsteins 5100 (as per Stage 3 description on their product page).
There are no Eibach rear shocks available yet, but... a tech at Stage 3 Motorsports suggested going with extended 2" 5100s on the back part # 33-318950 .
My plan - use Bilstein 5100s struts designed for 15-20 F150 with Eibach coils for 15-20 F150 / Tremor. Since Eibachs 15-20 struts are a direct part for Tremor, after Eibach R&D process approved and recommends it, THEN Bilsteins 15-20 F150 5100s are also a direct fit for Tremors. Just being logical here.
Bilsteins just never got around to testing them yet.
What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that may work but not really sure there would be much improvement other than height, if I were going to go that route I would look at a slightly higher end Bilstein front coilover and do the spring swap, then get the 5160's for the rear even if they are a little short.

Im all for higher end Bilsteins for the fronts, but what spring swaps are available out there for Tremors? 6112s will not accept Eibach "smaller" springs. Those coils only work with 5100s.
Can you be a bit more specific what coils can be swapped on what higher end Bilsteins?

I wasn't aware they wouldn't work with the 6112, hadn't researched that, basically that's how Halolifts got its start was by using Bilstein shocks and Eibach coils, they just assembled it in a package, they have since switched to Elka, but in the beginning it was exactly what your talking about doing.
 
Just an fyi for folks looking at the M1 struts from Rough country. You can adjust them down to 2”, 1.5”, etc via snap ring, just like Fox snap rings or bilstein.
