did you sand the passenger side frame mount when you installed your rear shocks like the instructions call for?Sexy!! what are the measurements on those that make them so special for the Tremor??
Either the site isn’t updated yet or none of the f150 stuff appears to have any discount.
Yes I did. If you put the shock in without sanding the mount actually prevents the shock from moving thru it's arc. So i just sanded a little bit at a time with a grinding wheel until the shock could move unobstructeddid you sand the passenger side frame mount when you installed your rear shocks like the instructions call for?
looks like pricing is updated now. 19-20% off most of the tremor stuff
My guess is it has an internal bump that the factory does not have. Length is there just no weight pulling it to full bump.Well, managed to get the passenger side done, Which is the harder side cause of the need to grind the upper shock mount back a little to clear the cylinder.
Its been raining like crazy and now it’s time
To do the night time routine with the kiddos. I’ll have to bang out the driver side tomorrow. Should be pretty fast since there’s no modifications needed for that side.
The factory shocks are super easy to compress. I could still compress the icons but with a lot more effort.
Something I don’t quite understand is that if they went through the effort of making a tremor specific sku, why have the extended length be shorter than factory? I mean it’s only a small amount but seems silly to limit extension over factory when making a specific version for this truck.

that's highly possible. My guess is it has an internal bump that the factory does not have. Length is there just no weight pulling it to full bump.
Has anyone installed the front coilovers?
Would love your feedback on stage 1 ride quality vs stock.Just got the truck back from the install. I think it looks great but the tires definitely look small now. That'll be my next upgrade once my tires need to be replaced. So far the ride is definitely stiffer than stock but it feels more composed at high speeds. I'll be taking it off roading in thr next hour View attachment 23920View attachment 23919
Technically longer epeenso, looking for the hive minds' thoughts. i have been debating between the tubular and the billet upper control arms for a couple of days.
is there any technical reason that the billet arms are worth the extra $400 of the tubular? from comparing the listings, it doesn't appear to me to be much difference technically other than the billets just look so cool.
thoughts from anyone?
The FK rod ends give you an adjustment point the fixed arms do not have and they can be adjusted on the truck. I wish I would have went with the Billet ICON’s. Mostly for looks, but at the time didn’t realize what problems I would have with custom powered coating my BDS arms. I could not get the bushings or ball joints out without damaging them. So I didn’t want to chance it and bought all new hardware, plus custom powder and I was almost at the ICON price by the time I was done. And I don’t have the Delta Joints that are pretty dang good and rebuildable.so, looking for the hive minds' thoughts. i have been debating between the tubular and the billet upper control arms for a couple of days.
