What's new

New ICON F150 3inch Suspension

Got the front coils installed today!

All measurements to the center of the wheel from the fender.

Stock height = 23”
Lifted height = 26”
Full droop = 28.5” limited by UCA contacting frame

This is with about 1-5/8” threads exposed which is what they came at from icon. I’ll probably lower them by about an inch or so to keep some rake some my truck is sitting perfectly level now with an empty bed with a topper and RAS springs

I'm guessing spring length @ full extension (amount if preload) isn't something they documented. That spring looks thicker than what they had on the previous version.
I initially set my dampers to 3 (from full soft) then adjusted from there on all of my icons.

The FK rod ends give you an adjustment point the fixed arms do not have and they can be adjusted on the truck. I wish I would have went with the Billet ICON’s. Mostly for looks, but at the time didn’t realize what problems I would have with custom powered coating my BDS arms. I could not get the bushings or ball joints out without damaging them. So I didn’t want to chance it and bought all new hardware, plus custom powder and I was almost at the ICON price by the time I was done. And I don’t have the Delta Joints that are pretty dang good and rebuildable.
Well, you talked me into it. Even though I really probably don’t need them. But the just look so cool! And I really want to anodize them as close to tremor orange as possible.

Yeti is supposed to be the bad influence around here. Make sure you check if you need the headlight bracket kit If you haven’t. It will look sick anodized and your rock lights shining on the entire set up. I’m all about Show, Go and Tow and these arms are all about show and go, I’m jealous.

Got the coils set with 1” exposed threads and it gave me just about 24.5” from wheel center to fender which is good for me to have just under 2” of rake to still let me tow without being nose high

Got an alignment done and numbers came in great with 5.7 degrees of caster

First impressions on the ride are very good too. It’s firm on bumps and not bouncy at all. I’ll try to hit some dirt roads this weekend and get a good sense of what these can do in bumpy roads.

Little off topic, but anyone look at these?

Now these are something. Total China knock offs, no FK rod ends and ICON has a patent pending for the Delta Joints. ICON offers a limited lifetime warranty on their hardware. 5 years on the Delta Joint, 1 year on the Delta Joint Pro since it is rebuildable. Not one mention I could see of any warranty. Even if ICON farmed out their arms to China for manufacturing. I would not trust any Chines knock offs on such an important part of a $70k vehicle. My families life is worth more than saving a few hundred bucks. I at least know ICON has put in some real R&D into their products. Cheaping out on suspension components is like drinking and driving. It will catch up with you one day and the outcome is never good. Not like buying the ARB China knock off compressor. Worst it can do is leave you with a flat tire.

They do come in Tremor Gold/Orange

It‘s going to look good even if you don’t color them. But they would look super cool in Inconsistent Orange. I’m forwarding this link to ICON to see if I get any response just for fun. In the description they actually call it a Delta Joint.

haven't received any shipping notifications yet for my front shocks or UCA's, but I noticed in my FedEx app that there are now 2 packages coming my way from Icon! FedEx doesn't have them yet, just the labels have been created but I'm excited!

Which ones did you end up going with on the front?

Now to find that perfect shade of Inconsistent Orange

Anymore pics of the Icon install? Just received my UCA and about to pull the trigger on the 2.5 VS PB Kit / VS RR Coils. Decided to sell my RC coil kit instead (will post on here shortly if anyone is interested)

Curious if you considered mounting the front reservoir above the strut tower? Would you mind measuring the diameter?
