New Tremor deliveries, missing features?

I dont believe that the harness is already there. If my truck ever ships I will let you know as I have a custom harness, new SCCM, HVAC module with the hard button to turn on the steering wheel heat, and a Raptor heated steering wheel just sitting around.

From what I can gather from those with 23's have started to see, the steering wheel likely will have the heating element, but the SCCM will not have the required pins populated, so you will need a new SCCM (backordered everywhere right now) and then you will need to power up those pins that the steering wheel heating element connects to. To do that you need to run a ground (anywhere) and a power (run to a harness on the passenger footwell - so it know when to turn on/off), and of course the HVAC module with the button. You will also need Forscan for programming the HVAC module and making a few other changes. I can verify that my as-built files have a few modules that will need changes to enable the heated steering wheel.
I imagine myself and others will be watching closely to see how it goes with your retro-fit.

Hey all, and happy Friday! For anyone that's recently taken a delivery of a new Tremor, are there any features (other than the stop/start) that's been deleted as a result of the chip shortage? Heated seats, heated steering wheel, parking sensors, anything like that? I've heard "stories" on social media, bit wanted to check here before grilling my dealer. Thanks!
Mine is missing the active park assist , so no biggie

Same here; Park Assist deleted but rest of 360 Active is present, including BlueCruise. Strangely the button is still there and connected.

LOL. I noticed on my (Mexico) truck the dreaded A.S.S. wasn't there. Don't know if it was supply chain issue or what but on all the video reviews of the truck that I watched it was there.
I also noticed after looking at the six or so 22 & 23 trucks on the lot there are no nutzerts in the box for the tailgate extender.
Might be some more things that I haven't noticed yet.

Here's a list of 7 items that just came out.

No offense to this guy, but he is only like 7 months late on his list of items. Only the high mounted rear camera is recent, and even that news is about a month old.

He mentioned most of those some time ago. This is the first I've heard of no spare tire lock.

Do all the 23 402As only have 4 front parking sensors? I don't really mind, just looking at ordering precut PPF and realized it might have been reduced on the 23s to 4 rather than 6, as the only ones with 6 I can find are 22s or 21s

For MY22 at least, the extra 2 sensors only came with Co-Pilot Active (Bluecruise) on Tremors. It may be more a matter of supply issues making Co-Pilot Active less common on these early MY23s.

Picked up my 2023 last Saturday (February 4) and these are what were missing:
  • Auto Start/Stop - I thought I requested a delete on this anyway, so I don't care.
  • Heating Steering Wheel - this sucks because it gets cold on the Canadian prairies during the winter. They did say there is the possibility that it will be upgraded later, but no guarantees. They credited me $175 (CDN).

I feel bad for you guys because I was bummed that I was missing my park assist which they deleted along with my auto start stop which I didn’t care about but now I see you guys are missing heated steering wheels and cameras I don’t feel so bad

These are bad enough but taking the spare tire lock away and motion detection from the security system is a little much. Dealer said Ford didn't even tell them. They learned be accident.

That’s really shitty. I guess I lucked by and getting one of the very last 2022 models.

Yeah I’m really missing the heated steering wheel. I didn’t even know heated mirrors were also taken away. I just thought they were never offered. Maybe I should have looked into 22’s! Although I really only wanted the avalanche color so I guess that scratches that idea. I think I read somewhere that the heated steering wheel does not have the option to be added in the future.

My fear is it's gonna get a lot worse with Ford posting a 2 billion loss.

i just took delivery of a 2023 Tremor and it was missing heated steering wheel, start/stop, and security sensors.. None are a big deal - I'm in Phoenix.

I'm missing the heated steering wheel as well. My dealer did write into the deal that as soon as Ford made it available it would be added to my truck at no cost.

Around the 3:45-4:00 mark, does he not say that "this is something they will not retrofit; so this is something they will not be adding later" ?

You know the more I keep reading, the more upset I get. I didn’t really know about missing features. I didn’t even know about Tremors to be honest. I had a ‘18 Lariat that I was happy with but I drove by my local dealer one day and saw an avalanche Tremor and it caught my eye. A lot of trucks from all the makers catch my eyes these days, makers are doing great things with trucks right now, but this one caught my eye more so than others have the past couple of years. I stopped in the next day, and someone had bought it that night before. Naturally. So, I started the online/build search. I ended up finding one at a dealer 30 miles away just two weeks later, in Avalanche, with all the features (or as I am finding out, all the features you can get for now). I drove out and did a test run. Find out no heated steering wheel. Okay. This sucks. Might even be a deal breaker. But I really love this truck. It is exactly how I would personally build a truck for myself. I don’t wait long to pull the trigger. I figured it wouldn’t last long, my search wasn’t finding many near me and I was reading about horror wait times on builds (to which I don’t believe you can build one with a heated steering wheel right now anyway). My ‘18 was pushing 100K miles, figured I better get the most value out of it now.

Enjoying the truck for a couple weeks, although every time I get in and that steering wheel is cold, I question if I made the right decision (only for a minute or so, then I say yes I’m good). Then I’m reading about blue cruise, knew nothing about it, and come to find out that’s something else that was taken away. So I’m looking at some ‘22s online, but again none really available that close to me (100 miles or so). But I’m seeing the stickers and it’s like I could have got the same truck with blue cruise and heated steering wheel for $2-3K less; more if I could be patient and find one with ~5K miles on it.

I don’t know. I love this truck and I absolutely love my color, which I believe is only available on the ‘23, right? The blue cruise is probably not something I would use a whole lot. I’ve been driving for 25 years. I drive buses. So I’m always driving. I like to drive. I like my hand(s) on the wheel haha. I do, however, like that wheel to be heated as I’ve had a heated wheel in my vehicles since 2011. Obviously the most upsetting part is paying ~$80K for the newest possible truck and it having less features than the previous year(s). It boggles the mind. Extremely upsetting to say the least.

But at least I’m not in the same boat as most of you as far as building the truck and expecting to get certain things, only for it to show up missing some of those things. That would be even more frustrating.

Sorry. Just a little early Saturday morning rant before I start the day going through the car wash, running some errands, and getting a few compliments on my truck and remembering how blessed I am to be able to have this truck, a really awesome truck, even if it is annoyingly lacking some features that it really ought to have.

Have a nice weekend everyone.
