I spoke with him, last night. When "she who was in a particularly bad mood" got home, then answer was "No! You can't take off and leave me with 3 huskies and a house full of people".
Funny enough, she was in such a mood that me taking the dogs AND her to a couple of days in Texas was not received well, either.
Been down that road, thank God for body armor and a brain that knows when to put it on before asking. Women are finiky creatures, but you sweeten the deal with something they like and it tends to go better.

That looks slick. What does that run the way you have it painted to match?
Not sure about SnugTop, but I have an ARE on order and the paint to match is part of the base price of the shell. The base price of the shell was $2700. With taxes and the options I added (keyless entry, lighting, specific side windows) it came out to $4100.

We are eyeballing a Badlands or a Bronco Raptor in 2024. Saw a Badlands at a car show over the weekend, looked pretty nice. They are the only 2 with all of the options we want and black leather.
I going straight for the synthetic/sprayable interior. huskies, ultra-marathon runner wife and extra-curricular yeti excursions made that a no-brainer. The only thing I haven't found yet is if the vinyl interior can have heated/cooled seats and steering wheel (wife's only requirement)
