Stock wheels or aftermarket. Can’t decide

The bronze looks really good on these trucks. When I wear my stock tires out I'm going to get bronze methods. Will look choice on my Oxford white with the orange logos.
Looks damn good. I was wondering if powdercoating the stock wheels bronze would have a good look to it?

Nice!! Those are the exact tires I’m getting and doing Fuel 20x9 +20 but in black finish.

Had second shop in Austin tell me now they can’t do a level on a Tremor. (4WP and Renegade Off Road). My local Ford dealer told me the same thing and they are trying to find a solution that won’t void warranty. Wonder why everyone in Austin so scared of the Tremors!! 😀🤷‍♂️

I don't think I want the +20...I was thinking +1. I don't like that much poke.

Damn that looks good!

Ok this is why I hate choosing wheels, I can never get the offset right. The Rebels come in 3 different offset options...-12, 1 and 20. If the 20 stick out that far (see above) I'd assume the -12 would sink inward and 1 would be damn near flush with the fender...ugh I hate wheel shopping. Anyone know the answer?

Negative offset pushes the wheel out. 1 would stick out 0.75" more than the 20. -12 would stick out 1.26" farther than the 20. With the same tire mounted to them.

So 20 is the absolute minimal amount of poke you can achieve with these particular wheels? Man that's confusing lol

Here’s 0 offset driveways not totally flat but close

Yes, 20 is the least amount of poke of the three. Just remember the huge SEMA trucks wheels are usually -44's with a wide wheel. Stock wheels are supposed to be a 34.

I tried to fit some 18x9 Icon Compressions with +6 offset with my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 305/70R18 and it was a no go.

Back to the drawing board….

What was the main problem? I love those wheels.

I’m getting RC coil kit installed by Mac Haik Ford (Austin, TX) next Tuesday so I’ll take some good before/after pics. Ford said they will warranty the work and quoted $1009 for kit, install, alignment.

I know a little more expensive than an off road shop or DIY, but willing to pay a few extra bucks to have dealer stand behind it.

Also Ordered my 20x9 Fuel Rebels (black) and 35x12.50r20 Geolander MTs from Discount Tire today, so fingers crossed they fit?! Will likely remove crash bars if needed. Gonna try the +1 offset since the +20 was back ordered. Little more poke likely than preferred, but had heart set on those wheels for awhile so will give them a shot.

Hey MJdubs, they didn’t fit stock height or you have a level? Thanks

I have the Readift 2.5” leveling kit.
It was the +6mm offset that was too much. Hit the front crash bar turning wheels in towards the center of car pretty aggressively. Also turning the wheel outwards hit the rear crash at and the black metal area right behind the wheel well.

We know that +20mm works with a 35/12.50.

It may work with a different tire size and and a smaller level (2”)

I’m not great at doing the math rough.

I knew it’s be close but it wasn’t as close as I thought.

If you’re willing to do some trimming and cutting portions of crash bar you’d be okay. I’m just not willing to trim up on the rig yet with only 1300 miles on it.

It did look good though. Kinda bummed more than I should be.

Here’s a shot with the 1 wheel test fitted.

want to sell them?

want to sell them?
Don’t own them.

I only put a deposit on em to get them shipped. They only mounted one and it took em an hour to do it so it wouldn’t leave a mark so it could be returned. The other 3 never even got opened form the box.

Thanks for the feedback and experience with that set up. Looks like the MT Baja is 35.1x12.4 and the Geolanders I have coming at 34.7x12.6 so likely same issue.

I think I’ll look to remove the crash bars completely as an option. I have a 2021 Bronco and Ford didn’t even install the crash bars for Broncos with the Sasquatch package vs regular Broncos have them, so I’ll do some research as to their true need if Ford pulled them on many Broncos.

Im sure that would help a lot with the fitment. Def have me wondering if I should have gone with a different wheel offset +18 or 20 vs the +1 I ordered. Worst case scenario I drop down to a 295/60r20 which is like 34x12 vs a true 35x12.50

Thanks again and I’ll post next week after lift installed and tires attempted
