Stock wheels or aftermarket. Can’t decide

Thanks for the feedback and experience with that set up. Looks like the MT Baja is 35.1x12.4 and the Geolanders I have coming at 34.7x12.6 so likely same issue.

I think I’ll look to remove the crash bars completely as an option. I have a 2021 Bronco and Ford didn’t even install the crash bars for Broncos with the Sasquatch package vs regular Broncos have them, so I’ll do some research as to their true need if Ford pulled them on many Broncos.

Im sure that would help a lot with the fitment. Def have me wondering if I should have gone with a different wheel offset +18 or 20 vs the +1 I ordered. Worst case scenario I drop down to a 295/60r20 which is like 34x12 vs a true 35x12.50

Thanks again and I’ll post next week after lift installed and tires attempted
Depends on how much of a leveling kit you have my 0 offset doesn’t leave much room for bigger tires 34x11 is what I have on 2” level and that’s max without trimming.

Dumb new-guy question: How are changing out the wheels/tires affecting the speedometers and stuff? I would think that the speedos would be off when going from a 33 to 35 inch tire...

They are off, but it's a simple recalibration, some tire shops can do it, sometimes you have to take it to the dealership, unless you have forscan or similar device then you can just reprogram it yourself.

Thanks. I've always left my vehicles stock, and have very little experience with this kind of stuff...but these trucks scream "leveling kit and slightly bigger tires".

Tiresize.com has some good resources and calculators. Chart here according to them if changing for factory Tremor tire to a 35

Picked up my 35s today. RC coilover level gets installed Tues next week so sadly these will sit in the garage all weekend :(

Tires 35x12.50 Yoko Geolander MT
Wheels 20x9 +19 Fuel Sledge (all black)

Took some pics next to stock tires to compare, though the 35s will squat a little of course once installed and weight on them.

I’ll send some “after” pics next week!

That’s probably the best looking sidewall I’ve ever seen!

I agree, one of the reasons I selected them. They look crazy aggressive in person. Excited to see them installed on truck next Tues. pics to come!
have you ran these tires before, love the look. But they look loud, yes I'm getting old.

Really liking those tires. Curious to hear how they are for a daily driver

I’ll def provide a good review after I have a few miles on them. I’ll also compare the MPG change as I have about 1000 miles on the truck with factory tires/wheels and I’ll save the MPG to date and compare after next 1000 miles. Likely will lose 1+ but time will tell.

Okay about to pull the trigger on some wheels, 18x9 +20. Going to run the Grabbers for now, they suit my needs. I was told by the guy at the shop that I would have to lift the front. Anyone know if he's right?? I don't intend to lift it at all.

I'm averaging about 14 mpg lol 😆. You gonna love those tires I can't believe I never got them before. We bought trucks not HYBRIDS!!!!!!!!

Ok this is why I hate choosing wheels, I can never get the offset right. The Rebels come in 3 different offset options...-12, 1 and 20. If the 20 stick out that far (see above) I'd assume the -12 would sink inward and 1 would be damn near flush with the fender...ugh I hate wheel shopping. Anyone know the answer?
You have that backwards - pushes the tire out as + keeps it in. Custome off set wheels website has an amazing website. You can can type in the configuration you want and there’s tons of pictures of the stance.

@captain lead foot, thanks for the pics and info!

I like the Method Bead Grips but Custom Offsets said the hub bore was a little too small at 87.00mm, versus the 87.10mm of some Fuel and Fifteen52 wheels I was thinking of. But when I saw that you're running the Method 312 with an 87.00mm bore was a light bulb moment for me! I called Method and they confirmed the fitment, which makes sense as I'm looking at your picture!

Anyway, when the truck does arrive, as of now, I'm planning on a 2.5" Pro Comp level, 17" Method 701 or 703 (0 offset) with Toyo Open Country ATIII in LT315/70R17 or 35x12.5R17LT. Hope it fits!

Hopefully the lil more height from the pro comp is enough to clear! Gunna look amazing I’ll promise you that!!

Charley, good look with your desired set up but a true 35x12.50 and 0 offset I think it’s gonna be super tight. I tried on a +1 Fuel 20x9 with 35x12.50 (before the leveling kit) and quickly decided to go with a +19 because of the rub when at full lock.

I’m having the RC coilover level installed on Tues with 35x12.50r20 with +19 and will report back the fitment. I think I’m gonna be close but doable.

With the 0 offset you are planning I really think you will likely need to cut out or remove the crash bars. Thanks and good luck with your build though, the 0 offset does look pretty awesome though (more aggressive)

Attached are some “before” pics at stock height with the tire/wheel combo to be installed after the leveling kit

Hey Phoenixxlx, you are going 18x9 +20 wheels with the factory tires? Being the factory is 18x7.5 +30 I would think you should be good for clearance as you are only pushing outwards 10 mm and shouldn’t require a lift. I’m not a professional but I would think you are good with that set up unless you are trying to increase tire size also, then a leveling kit would likely be required to not rub. Thanks and good luck!
