Sweet truck even missing the vents

I provided poor feedback on my dealers feedback request and that really kicked them into gear. Exactly 30 days after purchase they received my badging and installed them for me. From what they told me, Ford sends them all badging and they should then send to customers they belong to. They acted like the badges were sent with VIN information to match up.

After reading about how great these trucks are for months mine finally arrived and I have the whole weekend to install a garage worth of accessories all you guys have unknowingly talked me into purchasing. After 8+ months of waiting I was afraid I wouldn't be excited when it arrived but I am. Only bad thing is Ford installed a temporary vent/emblem "plug" due to shortages, the dealer says it may be up to 6 months for the actual part to arrive, but I would much rather have the truck minus a non-esential part than to have it sit in a lot somewhere. This is the first F-150 Tremor through this dealer and I got a kick out of watching a couple techs, the sales manager, and multiple customers check it out while the salesman was showing me all the sync and mode settings.
Yes, better to have the truck and although it looks funny, not as funny as the cinnamon King Ranch with these stupid covers on it.

My local dealer said they don't do it... the selling dealer (Granger) does lol--this was also a few weeks back. Will have to try again.
Give it a shot a let us know. I have to take my truck in for an accelerator squeak and one of the first questions was ‘did you buy it here?’ My reply was, ‘does that make a difference?’

Granger told me today that I have to reach out to my local dealer. Ford will use the VIN to assign the parts and cover the installation. Here is to hoping this does not prove to be an overly complicated PITA.

I used a local dealer's online scheduler to setup an appointment for Friday; it's been a few days and they haven't reached out yet to confirm one way or another, but there are plenty of other dealers here if they give me a hard time.

I too was told I had to go to the selling dealer. Sent my salesman the info today (his day off) we will see if he has more info tomorrow. Hoping they will simply mail them to me since I installed my bootleg version assuming ford would never fix and I kinda like it and don't want to drive over an hour to have them just rip off what I worked so hard to install.

Yeah I will be highly disappointed if mine has the cheapo black badges; just another thing to worry about

Thinking about making some calls to secure the real ones just in case

So x3 on the part # request
Mine are contained in the contract so, I know I'll be getting them eventually. I'll likely start calling customer service in Feb. which will be about three months-into ownership.

Try with your dealer referencing this:

They had to take pictures and send to Ford to receive the badges, so it is going to be a two visit process for me. Only issue was it took 1.5 hours, with the appointment, to get this done.

Also asked about just picking up the badges when they come in, but they said they'll have to install them since it's a recall, but should be quick.

Wtf. They have the vin and the csp number. This is why I hate going to dealerships. They make everything a hassle.

Called the other dealership near me, got transferred to every department and eventually was told I'd need to bring it in to the service dept. and they would need it for a few days lol. I think not.

Brought it to the service dept. today, they said Granger was on the hook, but had them route it up to their manger anyway as Granger has told me they would send the emblems back to Ford so another dealer could order them.

Not entirely sure why Ford is making these parts VIN specific as opposed to just updating the status of the affected vehicle in OASIS once retrofitted. Making it difficult for seemingly no reason.

Hopefully will have an update Monday.

What a pain. The service dept. at my dealer made it sound like they already handled a few of these and understood the process, being a "recall" rather than a vehicle delivery issue at this point.

Thankfully, I was able to secure the badges off of my recently totaled Tremor. Once I did that, I took them to the dealership where I purchased the new truck from. They had me run the truck and badges to Enumclaw Autobody and Rebuild - 5 minutes later, they were installed and I was having a Vitamin R at The Rainier Tavern downtown.

I'm assuming I'll have a set of badges coming, as I received the email from Ford - Once I have them, anyone that is lagging or dealing with bullshit is welcome to them!

Got my fender badges installed today and looks like Ford sent a tailgate badge even though mine already had one so the dealer gave me the extra.

Dealer sent me some email about Ford dropping options and equipment. Mentioned that temp badges or vents are given along with a 50 dollar "inconvenience" credit? That true for any of you?

I think most of us here had our trucks delivered with no notification of temp badges other than posts from forums.

An inconvenience rebate would be great for an 11 month wait, temp badges and a few dropped features.
