Sweet truck even missing the vents

Getting very frustrated, local dealer can't seem to figure out how the hell to read a memo and order my badges.

I'm hoping it's just because it's the end of the year and busy season for the dealers. I picked up my truck with blank badges on October 25th. I plan on waiting until January or February to contact the dealer for the correct badges as I don't have time right now to deal with BS.

I followed up this morning and my dealer still hadn't received mine; coming up on 2 weeks.

When I made the appointment online, I put in the csp campaign so I’m crossing my fingers that they actually looked at it. I’m prepared for dealer supplied disappointment.

I was told badge/vents were coming in for trucks sold 5 months ago and they would call when my turn came up.

I just got mine yesterday. Has the blank vents. God what an eye sore! They had a black
One the lot with the correct vents, I asked to swap them. Of course they denied.

I want these ugly things off so fast lol. But nobody has any clue what the hell is going on.

They told me they got a memo saying January 14th ford would allow us to order. No clue what that means. I’m just gonna call around tomorrow.

Picked my 2022 up today. Ordered 12/30/21. Glad to have the truck. Horrible wait time. 354 days and a huge hole in the ass end lol. IOU one Ford blacked out tailgate emblem.

Yep. Just got back. I was told: “We have to take pictures and send it to ford… blah blah.” Then when they come in “we need the whole day to do it.” Good thing I didn’t have much optimism.

Went to my dealer today to see if I could get lucky and they would have some in stock.

Of course they didn’t. They told me there is a national shortage, they put my order in and it would be a month or so. Who the hell knows.

Has anyone actually had any luck getting this resolved through their dealer ?

The badging? Yeah mine said the same thing and then went into the whole "we gotta take pictures blah blah blah..." And, lo and behold, they hand me back the keys and are like, "the order went through successfully, but when we call you back we need the truck for the WHOLE day because they're very difficult to change" and proceeded like they needed to remove the entire engine just to get to the badging and I relied with, "i get it they aren't the easiest replacement, they're really not that difficult according to the shop manual."

I don’t mind the plain black, but they didn’t give me an ETA to when they’d receive them. Just the whole crap outlined above.

Finally got my vents replaced today - dealer just called and said they’d arrived and were tied to my vin, didn’t need to be ordered. Took 10 mins in the service bay to swap them. Looks like a whole new truck! Ha

Ford Customer Support reached out today, they said one day, turned into two weeks but I'm sure the holidays put a wrench in that timeline. They reached out to my local dealer, who stated I should have received a letter in the mail to start the replacement process (I didn't).

Have a potential way forward to get the badges ordered and delivered now, we'll see how it plays out.
