If anyone backs out of their current order and someone wants that unit. I’ll sell it. I’d prefer not to be stuck with a bunch of inventory of controllers.

i tried 25% in my testing and it resulted in passenger side worked fine but drivers didnt. i dont understand that yet but it wasnt a full success. i've been told that 30% works as well if you dont want the drls that bright.

that being said, I have a better understanding of what's really happening in the circuit. the setting that is changed in forscan is the duty cycle of the line, not voltage as i previously thought. Ford is using a PWM controller on the DRL circuit for some reason. this basically turns the DC signal into an AC signal by modulating the signal on and off. its dont faster than the eye can register so thats why it doesnt look like the light is flickering. but the less time it is on, the less bright the light will appear to our eyes. that factory setting is 10%. therefore the light is only actually on for 10% of the time. the other 90% of the time the signal is off.

so, my animation controller was getting those off on signals due to the pwm controller and thinking that the drl was turning on again, therefore triggering the animation to kick off again. and it kept doing it over and over because the signal from the truck isnt a solid signal.

still working on a hardware fix for this for future controller units. but it should be pretty simple. a capacitor should help smooth the signal into the controller and fix the issue going forward.


Also, all august orders shipped out last week and i am working my way through September orders. so far i'm a decent bit ahead of schedule.

Lights are $400, Plug n play harness is $50. the start up animation is currently $50, but im working through some recently discovered challenges with those controllers and im not sure what the fix is going to be/cost quite yet.

Lighting system looks amazing. I just received my 402a, could you please add me to the list?
 
I finally got mine installed a few days ago. Havent had time to completely do any review, but so far they are great. I originally set my DRL's to 50% but mine seemed too bright at that level, to the point that the grill light was washed out and understated.

I tried 30% and it seemed to work but not every time. I have it now at 35% and so far so good. Will continue to check them over the next few days but 35% may be the lowest you can run without the animation issues.

So far I really like the look. I need to put my lighted Ford emblem on now to complete the front.
 
Please add me to the list for 402A package. These look awesome and I know once I install, all my F150 buddies in Louisiana will want them also. Thank you.

September Order Status:

I've started boxing September orders. i expect to ship most if not all by the end of next week.

October orders should follow suit and ship early October barring any not currently planned work trips.
