Tremor Amber Grille lighting

Update: I shipped the first October Order yesterday. I'm working through the remaining orders this week and should ship most if not all by early next week.

Just wanted to randomly pop in and praise these lights and the build quality.

I am from batch numero uno and at first I was worried that snow or a pressure washer might hurt these since they are hand made.

I've had mine installed since March I think, they've seen snow, massive bugs, rainstorms, and me pressure washing them and then running them through my favorite car wash. They always light up and I've seen no signs of water leakage.

If you haven't get in, I'm sure he won't make them forever.

this is much appreciated!

I am thrilled that you haven't had any issues. I won't lie and say i didn't have any concerns selling to folks in very different climates than i live in but i did what i could to test. Being in Florida, i don't deal with snow. but i did a bunch of testing using my freezer to simulate at least getting below freezing after soaking the lights with water.

I do deal with a bunch of humidity which is probably more concerning since that moisture can get into things easier.

That being said, I'm not perfect. i do test every light before i ship it, but that doesn't mean i cant miss something. but try to replace as fast as possible after doing some troubleshooting with owners to pinpoint the issue.

I've replaced a couple of units but only a small percentage of what I've sent out and most of those are more likely just a failure of the pcb of the light strips, which is expected to some extent for anything electronic. whenever i do replace a unit, i request the bad one to be returned so that i can attempt to determine what went wrong and fix it going forward.

I do order extra components when i place orders to fulfill preorders so that i have extras available as replacements.

All I know is I've never seen another tremor with them, and I've finally started seeing more in my abandoned part of the Country. I just assume every tremor that passes me is like,
"wait, what? They light up, do mine?"
That with the Putco emblem is just perfection.

I can't wait to see what/if you do something with the new tremor grill. It's a shame they don't get the good headlights anymore.

i don't plan on buying a new tremor, so developing something will be a bit harder since i can't just measure my own truck. i can buy a grille, but i wouldn't be able to actually test out wiring harnesses.

Personally, i think the new grill wouldn't work that well with the light bar. It's much more thin and it goes around the ford emblem rather than inline. I think your bar looks best on the first gen tremor.

I can't wait!!!!

I was thinking of doing the Putco lighted emblem at the same time, but I swear when I last looked, it wasn't $305 like it is now with the quick connect harness..... For that much, Don't think I'll get it.

Hey everyone, I’ve been meaning to create my own thread rather than burying updates in the “tremor specific accent lighting” thread.

When I first saw the tremor’s orange grille stripes, I immediately thought they would look awesome as accent lighting. So I set out to make it happen and this was the result:

I’ve been busy working on making my design something that I’m willing to provide to people. My current design, although effective, is rather rough around the edges.

I spent some time actually modeling a design, 3D printing it myself before ordering full size prints for fitment check. Seen here:

As you may notice, my newer design incorporates the same snap tabs to attach the strips to the grille that the trim pieces use.

I’ve also been working out the best lighting system and how to diffuse the light appropriately. So currently, I’m working with a supplier on a custom light strip that should provide a much more even light and also can function as a turn signal with sequential functionality(chasing lights in direction of turn).

At this point, I’m waiting on the first batch of production housings and the custom light strips to come in before sending the first few units out to some folks who have agreed to be beta testers. I’m hoping to do this by the end of august but it depends on how long it takes to get parts in hand.

Feel free to post any questions or comments and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
When will the next batch come out? I would like to order a set with harness

Finally got the chance to put my new grille lights in. I gota say these are absolutely amazing. All amber everything.
