Tremor Rear Shock Options

So my new Bilsteins show up and they sent B8 5160 instead of the 5165 I ordered. Maybe this is an Omen of sorts? The general consensus as of today for rear shock replacement is Bilsteins 5165 for a bit stiffer ride empty and spot on with roughly 400 lbs in the bed. Additionally Yeti is the first guy installing these this weekend. Tremor owners have a 6 month wait at best for a Tremor specific shock upgrade?

If anyone even comes out with tremor specific suspension. To be honest my outlook has gotten dim on tremor specific suspension, i doubt many more companies will come out with it. I don't think fox will, RC already has front coils and i don't think they'll do specific rears, i doubt Bilstein will with all the universal options they have, Eibach has already half assed their tremor setup and I'm sure won't do more, and so on. Don't think the market is big enough for them to engineer specific suspension with so many universal options being close enough.

Makes sense to me. So essentially best hope is adjustable valve equipment with close enough extended / collapsed lengths is the best we can hope for huh?

As someone else already mentioned, the Bilstein 5165 my work better with those running a heavier tire, such as an E rated 35". You suspension experts and those with physics backgrounds can speak better to this.

At this point I don’t personally think anyone will release a Tremor specific set of fronts and rears for a year or so at least. At least not until there are more of them driving down the road and they can stand to make more money off of it. With that said, I went ahead and got the Vertex on order this morning. I’ll end up with quite a conglomeration of brands but I think the end result will bea good feeling ride in most all conditions.

In your opinion would you explain better why you went with the Vertex? Thank you.

For me, I ordered them because they are one of the closest dimension fits of the universal options, they are adjustable, good quality (supposedly), and they match the vertex fronts I got/same company.

Do you have a part number? Find a deal anywhere?

699012, i had the shop order the parts, I assume they have a vendor they work with. They charged me $899 + tax.

For the UCAs (SPC, 25685) ($799) front coils from RC (51028)($409), vertex rears (699012)($899), provide, install, align, tax was $2950. (3.5 hrs labor @ $140/hr)

Do you mechanically adjust them? Could they be tied into one of our rocker panel switches for adjustment?

I don't think you can electrically tie them, they have a nut you turn.

Yes you manually adjust them with a dial, keep a drop of dry lubricant like Eezoxx on them every so often and they won't freeze up (the dial), I read complaints galore on the rancho 9000 I ran on a previous truck and so about evey 2-3 months I would put a drop of Eezoxx on the dial then run it up and down a few times and in 2 yrs they never seized up.

Eezox Premium Synthetic Gun Care https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DMB4E0Q/?tag=f150tremor-20

This is the stuff, I use it on all my guns as well, it kept my platoons weapons running perfect in Afghanistan and I would put my life on it being the best gun lubricant how can use( I have let my life depend on it)

I didn't know the spcs for 21+ were out in the wild, yet.

Well shoot. Now appears I do have another viable option. Vertex . I assumed Ford would have these details taken care of. $300.00 additional $$ gets me adjustable shock?
My main concern is a solid ride, fully loaded with gear , pulling 3000 lb. boat. A stiffer ride when empty I can live with.

I get everyone wanting the do it all shock here, but has something been said that makes the RAS system not a viable option any longer?

As far as I know the RAS will still work to prevent excessive squat and help with load stability. What they won't fix is the crappy shocks Ford used.

This. And they add some ride height, up to an inch, which I am not a fan of given the already large rake.
