Tremor Rear Shock Options

Yeah. They're about as useful as a milkpail under a bull.

No complaints from me with the Vertex yet. I keep switching around between 4-6. Probably should just set it at 5 like the others have mentioned.
What part number did you go with? I just read the 23 pages of info here and have settled on spending a bit more to get the adjustable Vertex and want to make sure I get the correct ones. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, proprietary info lol, It’s literally a measurement. I guess they figure a Chinese company etc can’t go to their site and make all the same sizes. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The shock we were referencing was the Icon 97720CP.

Buy one and return it with a note that says "product research" I'm not saying you should do it, or anyone should have to deal with it, but they deserve to have it happen to them.

What's the compressed and extended lengths?

Also while we're at it how are the 5165's and vertex's working out for those who have them?
Eibach stated the following:
Extended 29.6
Compressed 17.9

Wonder what is ride quality like?

Mac316,
Which Eibach’s are you referencing with those length?
I have read so many pages of this thread that’s it’s a blur now🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm sure the ride quality would be good, the extended length is short, but if you're not doing anything moderate to extreme offroad then you would be ok running that, however if you are doing moderate to extreme offroad then I would shy away or maybe use a limiting strap so as not to get over extension.

5160's are on. Thanks @Yeti for breaking them in. Short test drive went well but for some reason every time I hit a bump I caught a whiff of bourbon...

I am curious about the extended length. I know it has been confirmed that these are really close to stock but I couldn't help but think the extended length doesn't look very long when held against the mount (see pic). It measures to about 4.5". I feel like the truck flexes much more than the 4.5" that this shock will limit. Discuss.

The level and rear shock thing is getting out of hand on here. Remind me why no one wants to go with the stock F-150 rear block and use regular f-150 kits, pucks, shocks and be happy with the results? Seems like the CV's are crying at the same angle rather its a 2.5" Tremor lift or 3" regular F-150 lift. Still have some rake if you want it or bag or RAS it for towing or camper.

Oh just tidbit of info I found out on the SD Tremor, they do not come with fox shocks for the 22 year at least. It's an exact hd version of ours with red boots.

After reading these 24 pages one to many times….. I pulled the trigger on the Fox BDS #98224828 shocks today. I can’t take anymore of the ass end of this truck checking out just driving down fire roads, etc..

The only thing left to figure out is; do I need to extend my bump stops a 1/2” or not? I’m looking to run 34.5” or 35’s tires later down the road once I trash the stockers.
