What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Got a screw in one tire and a nail in another, both are too far over to patch. Sam's Club is being awesome and ordered me two new tires for 25 or 52 my cost. Not happy about mismatched tires but appreciative of the road hazard coverage.

We took a weekend RV trip to the east coast of Florida. I had worked on the install during the week but finally finished it at the rv park. The Rough Country Wireless Air Bag Controller kit made the return trip much better than expected as well as the commute into work this morning. The system maintains the 5psi the bags are supposed to have so I no longer need to keep my compressor in the back.

Changed up the rear camera mount for the mirror dash cam with a product from Crossroads 3D. Used his kit on the Bronco and was pleased so I got this one. It works well but still getting some vibrations from the subwoofer. I may try to shim it to see if it helps or get another one of this products that actually mounts it on or at the third brake light.

very nice and great view of the waves.
Waves there are no joke when storms or king tides come. We had one of 10 or so spots with an intact retaining wall. They need to replace 1000 feet of wall ($$$$$)

wow. our other favorite beach spot- Buxton- Cape Hatteras lost a lot of beach and homes to the storms.

Filled up my tank yesterday. Was in disbelief as the dollars kept climbing. 6.39 a gallon is crazy. Even for Honolulu.
A 36 gallon tank is nice but not when one has to fill it up when it’s almost empty.

I usually get about a month on half a tank so I figured I could run dry and possibly skip some of the crazy...then the wife decided she wanted a bunch of yard shit done 😅

Backordered some wheels this morning. They've been backordered for months so figured maybe they just don't stock until ordered...we'll see. Hoping it goes through cause they're kinda goldilocks for me.

Wow! A month on a half tank?!?

What wheels did you go with?

took it to Carolina beach Ft Fisher and ran it through deep sand for two beach days.reduced tire pressure to 20 and finally remembered all the dash gadgets, put in spport mode and 4H, it had zero issues in real deep soft sand. But bought the best tire inflator out there. I dont need to attach the charger to my battery- with the 2kw generator i plug right into the bed outlet fill tires quickly. Now it wont fit under the rear seat but if tops off a tire from 20 to 38/40psi in a minute or two. When i return to the beach, the pump will be stowed in the truck bed. Plus-its super quiet- had to buy an air hose and locking inflator but watching the truck dash on tire inflation psi level was super simple. I highly recommend this rascal- https://www.harborfreight.com/1-gal...-hand-carry-jobsite-air-compressor-64592.html
I have been seeing a few Tremors in the area - pretty sure we've passed a few times. Good to know there's a good option for Freeman Park/Ft. Fisher driving.

Replaced the incandescent bulbs in my license plate lights with SYLVANIA - 194 T10 W5W LEDs off Amazon. Works perfectly for $15

Finished the install of the rear LED lights. I ran a 14/4 cable from the upfitter stubs to the rear plate area through the frame. I only needed one wire but I used the cable in case I decide to add something else down the road. The lights are 6 inch 30W flood pattern from Superbright LEDs which I've used before but more importantly, they have a lifetime warranty.

Mounts are 2 1/2" stainless square bolts off Amazon with some extra nylock nuts. I installed the light bracket on the lights with the tabs facing the inside and slipped them under the square bolts installed on the tow hitch.
Tightened them down then added the extra nylocks to keep them there. I'm probably going to add some security cap bolts to the light brackets just to frustrate the junkies in Reno.

I used the provided Deutsch pigtails to make a harness with a single Deutsch two pin connector to connect to the 14/4 cable. Then zipped tied everything in place. No holes drilled and no OEM wires cut. At the front, I installed these on "Aux 6" to match the amp load of the lights.

The lights are low profile so they hopefully wont catch on anything and are far enough away from the safety chain points that they won't get smashed either.

These looks great! Could you drop a link for the square bolts and take a picture underneath to show how you mounted it?

Two tires replaced under road hazard warranty at Sam's Club. Stock size, e rated, with 31,500 miles (10k plus miles towing) and the tread has only wore down to 12/32. Pretty pleased.

Got the custom made steering wheel last night. First thing I noticed is that it feels "substantial" in my hands and not cheap or flimsy. It is thicker than the stock heated wheel, so getting used to that fatter grip will take a few days I'm sure. From a color matching perspective, the stripe and stitching are definitely more orange than the OEM stitching. I don't think it will be enough to bother me, but once I get it installed and live with it for a few days I'll know for sure. Disregard the optical illusion In the picture that makes the wheel look like it's 4x the size of the OEM heated wheel. It actually is the exact some outer diameter as the stock wheel. One thing I am going to do is let it "breathe" at room temperature for a few days before I install it. You can tell it got boxed and sent as soon as it was built because when I opened the box there was a heavy adhesive smell and I definitely don't want that lingering around in the cab of my truck. Once I let the adhesive smell dissipate and can find time in my schedule to get it installed I will update and provide more pictures.
I cant really tell, but does it have the shifters openings from the back of the steering or not?

No it doesn't. On a side note that wheel is for sale. I will list it in the Classifieds in the next day or so.
