What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Back bumper got kissed... I am not happy about it.

The cost to install was under $1,400. I've seen other posts where people spent from $2,000 to $4,000 to install a winch.
Factor 55 has come out with a lighted fairlead. I saw it at a local show this past weekend. I don’t have a winch on the Tremor but I do on my Bronco Raptor. I don’t see it on their website yet but their shop is local to me and I will go over this week to pick it up. It does look cool. I’ll show it later once installed.

I will check when I get back out, but it wasn't visually noticeable. I will measure front and back to see if it's different. There was a 2 1/2" difference before install.
Added weight was 76 for winch and 150 for the bracket.

What happened?
Reversing to get out of the way for a large service truck and slapped one of those short bollards that protect a business sign... Sensor never went off. Thought I was in the clear but the bumper told me real quick that I was wrong..

Man, you have my condolences. That is a terrible feeling. That bollard was probably in exactly the right place to have been missed by the sensors, and that makes it even more aggravating. Stupid little crap like that makes me crazy. Appreciate you posting, though, because I wasn't aware that the sensors had a blind spot - I'm gonna have to be more careful. Way too easy to over trust tech these days.

Replaced the lug nuts with gorillas.

I can see a lot of exposed metal where the old lugs mated against the wheels.

Did yall have the same? Any concern with not enough purchase?

I have the same thing, getting rid of the chrome lugnuts was more important to me though, I am totally not concerned about them holding

Sorry I don’t have a winch on the Tremor yet but I do have one on my BRaptor. Factor55 has come out with a lighted Fairlead with two colors amber and white. They included a toggle switch for the two colors. For my situation I just hooked up amber. This product goes live Monday, May 4th on their website.

Tremor is having a sleep-over at the local accessories place tonight. Windows were tinted today and the bedliner gets sprayed in tomorrow.

Have a Retrax FRC-4000 EZ-OFF tonneau cover coming for it in the next day or two, so the next week will be fun.

Got her back from the shop - beautiful repair on the little dent my son put into the rear quarter panel. Glad to have her back, after a week and a half of not having my truck around, I had that same feeling driving it off the dealer (collision shop) lot. What a great vehicle.

Did my first oil change at 1300 miles. Not the worst, not the best. It is far better than my old hemi for numerous reasons. The oil drain doesn't splash right on the front sway bar like the hemi did. So that's a win. The filter placement is better than the hemi, which is known as being one of the worst. The drain ramps are so-so, in terms of routing the oil. I guess the nice part about having the filter where it is, is that I can look right through the bumper to make sure it's not leaking.

Get you a good filter wrench and a Fumoto drain valve and oil changes are actually not that bad. (y)

I had a good wrench that matched the flutes. I looked at the Fumotos when I had my Ram. They are definitely well made but the concept scares me a little.
