What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Someone could make good coin selling plug and play / non destructive taps for the front and rear DRL, turn, and brake wires....

I'd buy a full set just to not have to use a vampire tap and compromise the factory wire.
My 15 I bought a plug that a headache manufacture had custom made. you hade brake, reverse light etc. Back up camera worked, and back up sensors worked. It did not screw with the trailer towing functions.

I just started experiencing this as well. Truck turns off lighting to save battery. What if i change out to an AGM?
Try turning off the welcome lights function.

mines been drawing down since I picked it up last February. I put a extra noco I had from the boat on it. It's not my daily driver. I also turned off the welcome light mode, the truck was always waking up while I was in the garage.
Make sure you keep the key away from the truck.

Nope not really. To clarify I meant that I’ve gone roughly 3,000 miles since the first change. Just a personal preference to keep ahead of it and feel for stretching that out over time. Just want to care for it best I can. I had put Royal Purple in the first time as it was just what I had at the time and I didn’t really want to use it anyway. The fact RP is actually purple might have skewed the visual appearance a bit even though they say it breaks down over time. I have Penzoil Ultra Platinum in it now and will be sampling the next change to send out for analysis.
I don't disagree at all! I don't think I'll wait 10,000 miles before the first change, despite what the dealer says.

Pulled my traction bars off and took them and my UCA's to be color matched. I was looking at my big pile of parts for the Tremor. The biggest box was the UpTop bed rack. Decide to start on it today since the sun was out and almost above freezing. Now there's like 20 little boxes of stuff to bolt to it and I think I want their basket for the rack now. Fuuuuu

What rack system is that? Looking at getting one but unsure the brand.

Mine is an UpTop overland Truss system with the Alpha rack. It’s been super solid for a aluminum bolt together system. I would buy it again and they have tons of accessories for it.

Adding some protection. First, I installed this anti-fingerprint, anti-glare, and anti-scratch PPF Screen Protector. Easy to install, and I really like the way it looks with the matte finish. It's crazy how easily these screen gets scratched from just normal use.
Also added a PPF pillar protector. I got them both from the OcdPlugShop. We shall see how they hold up.

Lastly, I finally had the time to add the Raptor catalytic protector for a little peace of mind.

looks awfully familiar...🤔 lol what are you going to put on the switches?
Haha, why mess with a good thing?? I have some Lux Lighting rock lights from a previous project that never got off the ground, so I'll stick them on the frame and get them wired in. Next I'd like to get a set of DD ditch lights. Beyond that I'm not sure yet. Once I saw your harness I knew I needed to start there though!

when you're ready to buy the diode lights, you can use code LDFTTREMOR for free shipping if you want. disclaimer, i do get commission if you use the code.

F150leds.com or DIY? Howd you tap wiring? Looks so good... y'all tempting me to do it.... hard to resist putting LEDs all over!!!
Yep F150LED and I did it myself. I actually wired mine to the #6 Aux Upfitter in the truck so I can control them (currently always leave it on). Super clean and cool look. Its not overkill by any means which I like cause I hate stupid looking LEDS on cars or trucks.

Thanks for making me spend more money! 😂 is #6 switched by the ignition? Meaning if I leave the cab switch "on", when I shut down the truck, the power to that accessory is cut - or is it always hot?

And hard agree. Very fine line between cool and ricey.

If im not mistaken all the upfitters are powered by ignition "on" but the #6 is a 5Amp fuse so I used it because i did not want to waste a larger fused switch for something so small like accent lights.
