What's new

Winches and Sliders and Trails, Oh My!

Haven't had time to do any of it. Unfortunately, it'll be September before I get these in.

Do you anticipate having no issues, at least major ones? Is there anything I should know about if I order those items?

In the meantime, go ahead and get this one from SVCoffroad:

That way you can let me, I mean the whole forum ;), know how you like it and we can compare it to Yeti's feedback on the Cobb. Thanks buddy!

I’m not above being a Guinea Pig. 😆 Any reason you’re looking for alternatives, are you just curious? Just making sure for my own knowledge.

SVC points out they've moved the BOV to the top to keep it out of harm's way and they've moved the hoses to provide more clearance for aftermarket bumpers. This may also benefit the installation of the swarfworks winch mount. Anyway, made in USA and looks like an interesting alternative.

Well Charky, ya got me good. Just ordered it just now! I like the blowoff valve relocate idea sooo.

Do they use the stock BoV?

It appears so, in the SCV video it shows the bung for the BOV and it looks just like the stock one.
That bov appears to bend at like a 90° angle, or am I crazy?

Ours doesn't do that, it sticks straight out. Not saying it won't work...But it is different and the clearance that worked for this won't 100% work for ours.

I have a tech request out about this, I’ll update after I hear back.

I could have sworn ours was also a 90 degree 1/4 turn lock. But you guys will have this sorted before I get back..

They do say:
  • Relocated Factory Blow-Off Valve To Stay Out of Harms Way When Offroading

100% ours is not a 90° like this. It will stick straight out. This was designed for gen 13 F150s. Most of this stuff still works for us, but the clearances are what we have to worry about in situations like this. I guess we'll see when he gets his in and installed.

I also ordered the Turbo-smart BOV which I believe is more compact, hopefully clearances aren’t an issue.

I have the same bov on my truck, it's not much different size wise.

Figures lol. Besides that how do you like the BOV?
Love it. The quality is really good; it's sturdy and looks/feels like it will last. It also utilized the stock wiring, big plus. The sound is great too. I literally gave up on my mpg because I just like to hear it too much lol. People really also aren't expecting it either, so it's cool to catch people looking when it goes off.

:ROFLMAO: Love it, funs per gallon!

Haha, nice. My buddy is trying to make me mad about not waiting for the 5.0 in 2023 but I’m more than happy to trade exhaust note of the 5.0 for the turbo sounds of the 3.5.

On another note, I should be getting the winch, BOV and swarfworks winch mount by Thursday but zero response from SCV on the intercooler as of yet. I did just order it at 1:00 their time yesterday so I’m not too upset. I intend to install everything this weekend pending the intercooler delivery. We’ll see I guess. #zeropatience
