402A and Trailer Tow Package-Why?

Here's that thing I mentioned, courtesy of @Troy. Clearly a different set of specs for Trailer Tow class (whatever that means). This piece of literature doesn't specify a package...and I don't know what CICAE, CICAP, or CICAQ mean either.
On this doc, interesting that the cooling capacity is the same, the fans are the same, the width is the same. You're getting 3 more millimeters in height (about 1/8"), 2 mm in core thickness (a little more than 1/16") and about 10-15% more tubes and fins in that radiator.

@Troy, @Coachdad and @High_Country - We have found documentation showing that you get a bigger radiator with the trailer tow package.
Yeah I've seen that. I did look at mine, but its buried in there. I was hoping I could see a part number or something but nothing to see.

I've never been able to find the radiator spec on the ford's site, so I can't really confirm if it applies or not. But its certainly compelling. But then again Ford has conflicting info. If it was clear in even most places that you need the 53A no problem, but multiple official documentation says you don't. So I'm still at I have no idea, take your pick. Given that Ford allows you to buy you'd assume you get something. But If I'm dropping a grand on something I want to know what the heck I'm buying. So either way shame on Ford.

Not sure where this guy got the info, but they also state a rear stabilizing bar is added with the trailer tow package:

I am swayless.

I'm not even sure why this topic is bothering me as I'm no longer in the market for a Tremor, at least for a few years...lol. I finally found the original document with the coolant systems in it.

On this topic, I've basically resigned to keeping my order as is (401a with the 17T package) and now am just passing the time by digging in and doing research for the 'good of the whole' while I wait on my truck. Really, I'm just a detail-oriented guy, and would love to know the answer. Hopefully, at SOME point this thread will provide future buyers some benefit.

Off topic but this was kind of funny to me, I guess they are assuming "baby on board"?

Hey, I can say I'm "above average"! ;) And surely we all don't carry at least 100lbs of ratchet straps, first aid kid, the hitch itself, a few pieces of gear in the back, a laptop, and on and on. Surely....

I'm in the same boat, dropping it off my build would cause me to have to pay $880 more so after removing it would only save a couple hundred. But I do want the final answer.

Once we get our trucks, we'll have to meet in Memphis for some BBQ, Blues, and a comparison and get to the bottom of this! 😂

Or Nashville, I'll make the BBQ and you guys drive around my back yard to clear my trails out.

I'm going to apply for a marketing position with Ford. How nice must it be to produce all these documents with mixed / incorrect information.

I'm pretty sure every one of them live in Colorado. I mean, you've got to be high to think this is good.

I can see Ford's defense lawyers now "look at exhibit 1.a- max tow documentation"

The prosecutions lawyers - "yes but look at exhibit 1.a.1- max tow documentation"

*This continues for weeks as they all continue to stumble over the poorly written guides & order forms*

Judge asks "so do you get the higher tow rating with the 53a or 17t?"

Ford 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anymore info on this debate? Seems to me if I add a rear stabilizer and air bags to mine and manage my speed I should be able to tow up to max?

Other than everyone is pretty sure/positive they're right, nope. :)

Somewhat related - The Trailer Tow Package is now $210 with 402A (still $1090 with 400/401A). The most relevant difference I see is that 402A includes the '360 Degree Camera Package'.

There is still the question of what upgraded components could Ford include for $210 to support a (presumably) higher tow rating.

I think its just the slightly larger/more efficient radiator.

I may be wrong, but I didn't think the 21 build and price actually added the full $1090 to my price. Of course, that could have been how I clicked on my options.
