402A and Trailer Tow Package-Why?

That's how I interpreted it as well. Would be nice for some official clarification.
Ford is giving us something to keep us busy. This, the color "Active Orange", the recall for fragile axles and non-existent insulation (that would have been bad had they remembered to add it). I'm getting the extra love with terrible dealers, a wrong bumper cover (how does an XLT bumper cover get into the Dearborn plant that only does Raptors and Tremors??), seats that move... sometimes. Ford obviously appreciates me more than the other hard working customers.

Quick question. Does everyone have 3600 pound front and 3800 pound rear axles?
Also, what are everyone's spring codes? (found in your door jamb)
21MY 402a with Trailer Tow package.
Mine is FFEE

I may have missed this but looks like you get backup assist with 53A and maybe you won’t with 17T?

Boy, that's interesting @Bannerman. I've been led to believe you get the backup assist with 17T...and this previous screenshot says you do.

I've sat in a '21 Tremor with the 17T & 401a and it had the backup assist. But your document says otherwise I agree.

AHHHHH THE MADNESS!!!!

But then again, from this document, (the 9-15-21 document for 2022 F-150's) it looks like it IS included - page 49:

I should note that this was from the most recent 2022 Order info sheet, dated today, 1/3/22.

I have been having active conversations with my ordering dealer today about this.
The new car sales guy admitted it was confusing and that he couldn't make sense of the issue either. So, we hung up and he apparently ran it up the food chain "confirming it with Ford".
He is saying that in order to get the 10,900lb tow rating, you have to opt for the Trailer Tow Package (53A). You would then have to add the 360 degree camera package as a standalone option if you wanted that functionality. Interestingly, he's telling me that the interior work surface COMES WITH the 53A Trailer Tow package now.
I pressed for details on what does the 53A come with, or what is it "doing to the truck" to increase the tow rating by almost 4,000lbs. He went to check. He didn't sound real confident, but said he talked with the service guys and the new car manager and they strongly believe it's upgraded rear leaf springs.
So, using 2021 numbers from the Build and Price, I would DELETE the $880 Tow Tech package and ADD the $1090 Trailer Tow Package and ADD the $765 360degree camera. I'll leave the $165 interior work surface out of the equation...that's just odd.
So roughly a swing of ADDING $975-ish to 'upgrade' to the 10,900lb tow capacity.
Thoughts? If a guy believes the "it's in the leaf's" answer, then a Trailer Tow truck would ride stiffer unloaded than a non-trailer tow truck.
(Still bothersome that NOWHERE PHYSICALLY ON THE TRUCK does it actually state it's tow rating or GCVWR.)

This is great. We get to see the difference between Canadian and US Tremor orders. I do remember reading somewhere on Ford's site that the CA Tremor gets the Trailer Tow package. It may have been the same thing you just posted.
Whereas the 401a American gets the 360 camera and cad does not.

@Jstonk - everywhere has been telling me that the 401a (American) does NOT get the 360 degree camera package and that you have to either elect it separately as an option or elect for another package that includes it (like the Tow Technology package). I am told (just today) by my dealer that to get the 360 degree camera on a 401a with the TRAILER TOW PACKAGE (53A) you have to elect the standalone 360 degree camera option ($765).

Strange, when I compare them online this is what I see. Is co-pilot 360 different, I was assuming it was the camera.

Yeah, Co-Pilot 360 is different than 'just' the 360 Camera I think. Maybe the 360 Camera is part of Co-pilot 360. Anyways, the build and price on Ford's website clearly shows that 360 Camera IS INCLUDED in the 401a mid. But, according to my dealer, it is NOT and you have to do something else to get it - get a package, opt for it standalone, etc. Very deceiving.

So I already have the 360 camera package on the 402A though right?
