What do you mean? That didn't have the sbc upper slots?

I’m not really sure how to respond to that. They are different. They both introduce points of potential failure though and shouldn’t be considered on a vehicle that sees much use OffRoad. They both have the word drop in them and they both move the diff. What's to understand? You are driving a Ford, not a Toyota, right?
NVM, I think my eyes were able to see the slots while on my phone with all that shiny going on.What do you mean?
Funny, I didn't. I was always under the impression that one uses a drop bracket to drop the diff.Diff drop and drop bracket are different things. You understand that right?
With an explanation of what it is would be helpful. BDS is all about off road use, that's what made them popular. They do say its not a trophy truck, but I didn't buy a Raptor. Like I said before, I can do anything you can do and probably better while maintaining a smooth ride and good CV and tie rod angles.I’m not really sure how to respond to that. They are different. I mentioned this in the diff drop thread but I screenshoted below what I’m talking about when I saw “diff drop”. They are spacers that go between the diff and mounting points so the diff is slightly lower and sharp CV angles are somewhat mitigated. I don’t even know if a thing for F-150s, but they are available for Toyota.Funny, I didn't. I was always under the impression that one uses a drop bracket to drop the diff.

How did the install go? Any tips? I’ll be tackling mine this afternoon.Drivers front done. View attachment 6429
Wife wanted to take the boat out yesterday afternoon so I only got one side done. Wrapping up the passenger side now. Honestly I got even more lift than the spacers, should have only 1.5” over stock per Kevin. So I’ll be adjusting them down. For the upper ball joint I always just loosen the nut then a couple love taps with my BFH.How did the install go? Any tips? I’ll be tackling mine this afternoon.
Where did you get the tool to separate the stock Upper ball joint? I’m thinking auto zone would rent it.

I installed them at what should be 2.5” for a regular F-150, 1.5” for Tremors. But I’m going to dial them back because I only wanted 1.5-2” over stock. Just enough to clear the 35”sAwaiting ride report.
Are you installing your coilovers with preset 2.5" lift?
Maybe give it 500 miles or so to let the spring settle in.Wife wanted to take the boat out yesterday afternoon so I only got one side done. Wrapping up the passenger side now. I got the fire stone lifetime alignment for just that reason. Passenger done. Final torque check then on to the rear.Maybe give it 500 miles or so to let the spring settle in.
And get the other side instled![]()
I think these are sourced from Elka now so they are probably elka springs. I have the Eibach 700 pound race spring on my Icons and they settled just under 3/8" during my trip out west and back. It obviously matters how you use them, too. On my trip I had about 900 pounds extra on the way back and hammered Utah trails pretty hard/fast.I would take it for a short drive around the block to let everything settle in then measure. I’ve had mine on my truck for 10k miles and my measurements from first installed to today have never changed. These coilovers have a 700lb eibach spring so don’t expect much if any settling.
These are made my Elka now. But that’s been my experience as well. Settles over the first day, and then no real change after that. I usually run through a parking lot with speed bumps the day before I go for alignment.I would take it for a short drive around the block to let everything settle in then measure. Lol, stretch those suckers. Run them up a dirt pile one corner at a time. These are made my Elka now. But that’s been my experience as well. Settles over the first day, and then no real change after that. I usually run through a parking lot with speed bumps the day before I go for alignment.
I turned mine down 8 turns to drop it 3/4”Has anyone seen what the maximum number of turns you can back these collar off? I’ve gone down three turns and still have 3.5”+ over stock. I’m about to take it down at least another six turns.
