Halolifts Coilover - Group Buy Info in First Post!

Sounds to me like you might of received a 2.5" kit miss packaged as the 2" kit. Regardless if you switch to the halos they don't provide any offset like the AS kits do... so if you end up making the switch it may be in your best interest to purchase the UCA's as well. Just a thought.
Ah good point about the offset. Guess I'll just have to do airbags or something in the back. I dont mind it being level, but I always have stuff in the back or am towing.

It's confirmed to the 2.0 kit. I guess the 2.0 bolts holes are such that the shock has to be rotated 180 degrees but the 2.5 install in the same orientation.

The offset isn't necessary with a coilover kit, the spacer is offset so as not to throw the stock coilover into to straight of a path so as it's not getting the travel necessary. But a coilover level is designed to work at the angles properly, now doing UCA's allows more clearance but most aren't necessary, it also allows you to fine tune it a little. Some of the bigger coilovers recommend a UCA replacement because of the thickness of the coil, on stock UCA it might not have enough clearance and come in contact with it.

On my Toyotas I always found that UCAs with some built in caster really helped to get the steering back to a stock feel. Lifting with stock UCAs always resulted in a squirrly steering at speed. However with my Tremor I did not feel like the steering was affected, at least not with the AS 2.0s. That's why I assumed dropping the front by 1"+ if I went with the Halos would also not require new UCAs.

The UCA is supposed to be slightly different from stock, they are a little longer than a stock f150, I didn't check inside clearance but can confirm they are a bit longer.

The stock Tremor UCA is longer than the stock F-150 UCA? Would make sense, allow more travel I guess.

Yes but it's only tenths of an inch longer

What's everyone's thoughts of this kit? It seems like it's priced pretty well. I told myself when I spent 70k on a new truck that a $150 level kit was only going to be temporary. I'm usually not one to ask other people's opinions but I'm torn on if this is the one... or if I should just hold out a bit longer for another option to come along 🤷🏻‍♂️
I also haven't found out if it'll compare to the ride hieght of the AS 2.5 kit.... ???

It should net around 1.5-2.0"

I'm really really close to ordering. I'm just afraid that I'll be rubbing all to hell with 35's.

Maybe I just need a little peer pressure...

Umm... pussy if you don't. 😆 peer pressure for ya.
Anyway my issue (295/70/r18) is the 0 offset. I think if you stick with factory rims or a more positive offset you'll be fine.

@halo.f150 do we need the caster/camber kit with the aluma 2.0's and SPC UCA?

Maybe it’s stated earlier in the thread - but I’d expect if the overall diameter of the halo lift strut/coil is the same or less than factory then you wouldn’t need the UCA’s for clearance or alignment. I didn’t have any issues with caster or camber on my truck after 3” of lift (just had to correct for toe). Others seem to have had similar experiences.
So if you’re only after 2” or less of lift than you probably don’t NEED new UCA’s (unless the coils are just bigger I guess).
But what do I know, I got 2-3/4” of lift from a 2” spacer. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The UCA will help like he said if the stock UCA makes contact with the new coilover, the SPC is already pretty adjustable so you shouldn't need the kit if you ordered the UCA, a lot of others or n hear seem to be running the RC coilover without contact so these should be good as well.

Thanks - I went ahead and order the SPC UCA's after watching the video @Yeti posted. It seems like they will provide the most range, adjustability and get the geometry all gravy once again.

Ordered.
I spoke with Kevin, he's very helpful. I'm getting mine shipped at a 3" height rather than the 2.5" height they normally ship. This is based on @DC8 feedback and talking with Kevin as I'm going with a 34.5" tire. Added the SPC caster/camber kit.
Appreciate everyone's feedback, I've only changed my mind on suspension components a half-dozen times. This seems to be a solid kit; shocks, coilovers and control arms with an August purchase price (10% off and free shipping) that's tough to beat.

Is this a different setup for 3" all together or are they just sending the coilovers preset at 3" instead of 2.5"?
