Leveling Kit

Would you mind sending links to the Eibachs you are referencing? I did the RC front coils already, but def interested in upgrading the rear shocks since the stock ones are SO stiff.

I Might wait to hear your “after” review first before pulling the trigger 😀

Thanks in advance! and good luck with the install
I second that encouragement and raise you with the most legendary encouragement quite ever lol.

It’s replacing a pro comp 2.5” level so will be interesting.
I’m going to measure shock lengths and current angle of cv joint for reference.
Then of course truck height before and after.

Has anyone seen an actual reference for what is too much for the CV joint on a level surface?

I didn’t measure mine before the PC install so may have one of you guys measure yours. (Just using an angle app on phone like ilevel )

Just to be clear, you can get close to 2" of lift but you may not like the actual performance at that lift. If you're not really looking for more than a 1/2" lift but better all around performance, you'll probably be happy with them.

Maybe drop the threads from 3" down to 2.5"to start. And see if you like it. I went down to 2" of thread which produced close to a 3/8" lift but solid performance.

Thanks and look forward to hearing review after install and if everything works well on a 2022

I am curious to hear this write up too. My current ‘17 has the Eibach struts with stock coils. I generally prefer to keep stock coils as my experience is that aftermarket coils always feel stiffer. I like Eibach so hope this option for Tremor proves out.

Quite a few guys running around in tremors with the fox and ford performance versions on. He should have just said we haven’t tested them.

Little snafu on my install, realized this evening they sent me all 2WD part numbers. Just sent an email to see about getting things swapped out. Glad I looked before dropping it all off tomorrow to get installed.

Is there any downside to the RC 2.5" leveling kit? I just want to bring the front up enough to fit 35s, not lose any stock function, and not have a shit ride. Will the RC front coils do that?

I’m wondering the same thing. Can’t stand the rake anymore. Can’t decide between the RC 2.5”, Auto Spring 2.5”, or the ProComp 2.5”. Just looking for a temporary option until a tremor specific coil over is released.

For $400 I think the RC is the way to go
I installed mine a month or so ago and plan to upgrade to a legit FOX, Icon, etc…kit made specifically for Tremor if/when available.

Clears 35s on a +19 20x9 wheel with zero trimming, but I don’t do any hard core off roading with it, have my Bronco for that.

If you plan to wheel it hard, would recommend a 295/70r18 or 295/60r20 (34s) to be a little safer.

Love the look, fixes the rake, and front end only a tad bit stiffer than stock in my opinion. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I genuinely prefer the ride quality of the RC kit vs stock. Put about a thousand miles on stock suspension and a little over a thousand on the RC kit at this point mixed highway and city.

On the RC front coilovers, can the preload / ride height adjustment be changed once installed on the vehicle (jacked up, wheel off, no load, etc) or do the coilovers need to be off and on the bench?

The RC kit is tremor specific, just the front coils. Not sure about the other two. I might not do the full 2.5" either, I'm interested in keeping like 1.5" of rake, and I might opt for 295s/34s to make sure I'm under parking garage height clearance.

Glad its working out well for you. Your ride could also be stiffer going from 18 stock tires to 35 20's. I can say the 2.5 auto spring kit is a really nice ride, definitely did not experience any stiffer ride from stock, it just feels higher and better. I can go over these big speedbumps accelerating at times and the suspension feels really good. The science/literature behind the offset auto spring description sounded convincing to me and the way my truck rides further cements my decision. Like you this was just a temporary lift to level and fit 35's. I plan on going with a top notch quality set once its proven, and I know it's not a lot of $ but the $270+ dollars I saved going with the auto spring over the rough country can be put towards other upgrades.

Why do you think it was much cheaper?

You need to post some pics of the Bronco and Tremor in the wild together. Nice combo, do you have a matching GT500 to complete the set?

The rc says it's tremor specific. But the front coil over are the same and the 14 to 19 f150 kit. I have the kit works great but the front coilovers are jist the same ones as the 14 to 19

Why do you think it was much cheaper?
Because it is a spacer vs a new shock and coil.

Suspension feel is subjective. Some people think the stock suspension is too soft, and therefore like a new setup with a stiffer coil (RC in this case) and some prefer the feel of the stock suspension, and therefore a spacer is better in their opinion. Its just like the debate on spacers vs Bilsteins on the regular F150s. Many people swear by the Bilsteins, and some put them on and take them right back off becuase they ride different.

Personally, I like the feel of the stock suspension (I wont be taking my truck off road much), so I plan to do a spacer, plus I am just not a fan of RC overall, but that all relates to my experiences with them in the Jeep world. I am sure they have made improvements since I swore them off as a cheap (price and quality) brand.

And as stated above, tires will make a big difference in how stiff the ride feels. It is hard to find a good tire above 34" in size that is not a 10 ply E tire, and those will always ride stiffer than a LT tire.

One thing we can all agree on though is that the amount of rake from the factory is ridiculous and needs to be addressed in some manner.
