What are your pet peeves so far

Well I guess now that the MY23 order guide is out, I have a new pet peeve. I would have loved to be able to get Star White, which is now available. Oh, and I still don't have the truck I ordered in 2021
I ordered Star White Metallic Tri-Coat in October, its only an option though when you select the 402a package first

Inconsistency on what happens from day to day. Lately the stereo keeps playing when the truck is off and the door has been opened, yet other times it does what it is supposed to do which is once the door is open the stereo turns off. All of the annoying nanny warnings!!! Was this truck built for complete morons with no driving abilities? I am having to acknowledge 3-5 warnings even before I get 1/2 block away. Some times it checks for people in the back seat and some times it does nothing. The list keeps growing...
Stereo playing after truck is off and door has opened is in settings

  • wish it activated a mirror cam with turn signal
  • carplay likes to kick off podcasts when I'm randomly browsing a website that has some media anywhere on it (i might just be dumb and havent found a setting)
  • fullscreen/work surface while driving stuff
  • exhaust tips arent even - driver sits about where I'd expect with a slight poke from bumper and passenger is set in about same distance
  • My 6'4" ass is used to being able to reach every bit of a vehicle without a ladder or a handled microfiber
Just need to change auto play settings in vehicle

After seeing the Star white I’m pretty happy with the Oxford, at least on the Tremor

1. Camera quality is pretty bad.

2. Wish parking brake auto on and off was a setting that would stay on after power cycle.

3. OTA updates are a mystery and inconsistent.

4. Apple CarPlay is completely random as to when it connects or not. Can't seem to do anything in the times it doesn't want to connect to manually force it, just wait until the next time I shut off and restart the truck.

5. Right turn signal doesn't work for trailers. First Trailer I thought it was the trailer, second trailer seemed suspect, third... no way this is a coincidence. Bought a tester and sure enough, its a truck issue.

Can you/anyone confirm that this is the case for all tremors? Or is this something specific to you? Sounds like a warranty issue.

It goes in for first service on Monday and I have this as an item for them to address.

Front/rear camera, 360 camera or both? Just wondering if it's an issue where Ford is sourcing less quality of a part in order to keep up? I have a 2020 Lariat and camera quality is decent for a backup camera. Anyone else noticing this? Although it's not likely to change anytime soon, I'm not happy about paying top dollar for missing functions and inferior parts.

Bed camera is pretty rough, for me, no problems with the rest.

Several pits in the windshield on the passenger side. After having the windshield tinted, they are very noticeable.

Sound system is lackluster, never really complained about a factory setup but the unleashed isn’t very unleashed.

The bed camera is like 480p, might replace it someday.

When using the rear camera at speed it has a nice “full view not available” thus reducing the less than full view even more, and it’s right in the center of the screen lol.

Everything else is great so far, loving the truck. Hoping my side badges/vents get in soon ☹️

Was hoping MPG would be a little better on highway; I get same in eco or standard mode.
I have to agree with you there. I did a round trip to San Antonio and only got 13.9. Maybe I did go a little fast. I guess it is the price we pay to drive a Tremor!

Does anyone know how many Tremors were made in 2022?

The very best I managed was 20.5 MPG - ECO mode on the highway. The truck did start to get a bit better fuel economy after initial break-in period. I normally get around 17 MPG, however, I think that it has gotten worse. I am attributing to the gas here in PA and the introduction of a "winter blend" of fuel. I have tried premium and non-ethanol gasoline with little differences in MPG.

Yeah same in Ohio and I'm hoping it is winter blend. I usually use 93, but again didn't notice a significant difference with 87. I've never been over 18.5. I'm coming from a GMC AT, BUT not as aggressive as a tire on it.

I've gotten over 24 MPG with GMC on same trip I took last week, driving similar speeds.

Something else I'd like......stay in driver mode I pick when truck starts back up and full screen car play!

I've actually had pretty good luck with MPG. 91 octane I get between 15 and 16 in town, and around 20 highway/interstate. Always in normal mode, except for recently with some snow and ice I've been in slippery mode.

Anything is better than my 07, I got 14 mpg highway if I was going downhill with a tailwind.

If you have driven a Ram newer than ‘19, the cameras and screen resolution overall are still really lacking in Ford. Sound systems in Fords have been lacking for years when compared to almost any manufacturer

Lifetime of my truck so far is sitting at 18.2 mpg so I'm moderately happy with that (I'm coming from a 2.7L '16 that was around 21). Really depends on what I'm doing and how I'm driving. I feel like I get better MPG in Eco but every tank has been so different in terms of what I've done/weather conditions since the previous fill that it's kind of hard to say.
