What's new

What are your pet peeves so far

Not sure if this just bothers me but every time I use remote start, when I get in and press the start button I get the alternate chime that doesn't come from the radio speakers, and for the rest of the drive I get the different parking sensor beeps as well. It almost makes me not want to use remote start but maybe it's just me.

Only issue after owning my tremor a year, wish Ford would have done better with the cameras and made them record. Overall no major issues and love my 22-Tremor !!! Leveled it last year, no issues. Added a Sub to the B&O unleashed, no issues. ! Couldn't be happier! I love the console shifter, however with the work surface a rotary knob and steering wheel paddle shifters would have been more convenient. At least all of us with 21,22, & even 23 tremors we dodged a huge price increase that the 24's will have !

I keep seeing people complaining about the rear shocks but not the fronts. What exact are the rears doing or not doing thay detrimental?
And the remote start, you have to push the lock button once and then the start button 2 times right after but not too quickly after, I did some tests with different intervals and found if your too quick with the button pushes it doesn't work and if your leave too much time I between it doesn't work, lol
It's like trying to find the g spot, hahaha
the factory rear shocks are incredibly soft. the factory ones i can compress with one hand and the eibachs i put in i needed a floor jack to help compress. and when i upgraded the rear shocks i noticed way better ride on washboard and high speed potholes specifically.

Overall after a year GREAT F150, best I ever owned. Pet peeve is the lack of customization on the gauge cluster and lack of recording on the cameras. Being a computer we should have more options. The Mustang has them, pretty simple to offer it to the complete line. I would not trade down to the base tremor, but the analog guages are nicer IMO. Lets see how things hold up in 10-15+ years when people buy used beat-up ones.

Couple new ones to add for me

1. Blinker stopped making noise for 1 day

2. HD radio stations toggling between HD and standard in an area where signal strength should not be an issue.

3. Brakes started a squeak at low speed breaking like parking lot speed

4. While using CarPlay audio sometimes when shifting in reverse the audio cuts out and makes a high pitch shreek. Then resumes playing after a second or two

Anyone else have the constant camera covered in water view on the rear camera? I didn't have this as bad on the 2012 i had, it would certainly do it, but not completely blurred out. I can use my mirrors obviously, but hey i am getting older and lazier! Haaa.
Anyhow does / has anyone found a solution for the constant covering of water in wet weather or just one of those things that is notable? - Rob

I clean my windows with some chemical guys cleaner/ceramic coat stuff and when I do them, I slap some on the cameras too. Helps a bit...somewhere between a proper ceramic coat and raw doggin it.

The B&O unleashed is disappointing for sure. My wife has a regular B&O system in her car that sounds considerably better. I can't stand lane assist and how it vibrates the steering wheel so that got shut off. Also the chime that says "check rear seats" for children when you shut the truck off is super annoying.
you can turn off the check rear seats" for children in the vehicle setting

Definitely agree about the lack of customization. I don't like that the audio info is basically just the song sitting at the bottom and if it's too long for the space provided it just gets cut off. I wish there was a dedicated audio view and more of a dedicated nav view. Just overall, like you said, customization too. Feels kinda basic and lacking features. Even the big navigation screen, SYNC in general, feels like it could be cleaned up a bit and offer more. I feel like Ford uses better parts and overall has a nicer interior, but sometimes it is frustrating being so far behind compared to other companies. My dad's 2019 AT4 has a heads up display and camera rear view mirror and Ford finally in 2024 is adding HUD but still no camera rear view mirror. And as someone else said, the camera quality might still be worse than his 2019.

Also, my phone charger worked every time for the first 8 months (although it didn't really charge that well, which I understand wireless CarPlay uses a lot of battery), but now the past 3 months it only charges like 30% of the time probably. Frustrating.

I have a 2023 402A.
1. B&O Unleashed is mediocre at best. Super disappointed with it.
2. Lane keep assist requiring steering wheel torque to operate instead of sensor. This is annoying and makes it mostly useless for me. It requires more work than if I just drive normally in "manual" mode.
3. The headlight indicators on my productivity screen intermittently disappear.
4. During the winter (in Canada) the front and rear sensors become obstructed a lot (especially noticeable after a carwash and water freezes on them). The non stop warnings are annoying and continue even after acknowledging them. This isn't a Tremor specific thing, and happens with most vehicles as I understand it. Still annoying.
5. Fuel efficiency - at about 5000km, it's worse than I was expecting.
Your in Canada?what is your miledge? I'm averaging 12.4 with just over 7000 kms

How about the dual exhaust at the bumper not being centered. It looks like every Tremor I see the tailpipes are crooked at the bumper.

Ive noticed that as well but not every time, maybe 50% of the time.

It bugs me so much that if I get the alternate sounds I shut the vehicle off and start it up again.

So these issues are just with use of the remote start? Is this common with all these Tremors or just a small amount of folks?

Rattles. front passenger side. Constantly rattling over bumps. Wife sits in seat and it mostly goes away. Ugh.

It appears to be in some way related to the sequence and timing of the modules starting up, which is also related to the level of battery charge.

I believe someone quoted a manual or TSB somewhere that said the alternate sounds are used when one of the modules can't reach the other at boot time.

Service guy at the dealer was not at all surprised that I threw in an Optima, he said he's seen lots of crappy batteries from the covid years 21-22.

So an upgraded (better) battery resolves these issues?

Too early to tell, but it did resolve my updates failing due to always low battery capacity and state of charge, even after being fully charged at the dealer.

Thanks! The reason I'm asking is I'm in the market for a used late model F150 Tremor. I just want to be sure I'm not going to be sorry...
