Why Tremor not Raptor (your reason)?

Was just a joke. My wife never limits what I can do. Raptor doesn’t fit our needs, but the Tremor does. We bought it when we were getting an oil change on my 2020 F150XLT. Never planned on even considering a new truck, but drove the Tremor off the lot instead. Glad I did 👍
Fair enough.

I hadn't really planned on buying my Tremor either. However, I had kind of a close call with a serious medical issue and realized life was too short not to drive the truck I wanted. While I would love a Raptor, I didn't want to spend that much and it wouldn't fit in my garage. That's one of the big reasons I didn't buy another Super Duty.

Cost and towing capacity were the two main reasons I went with the Tremor over the Raptor, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't secretly plotting a way to get myself into a 24 or newer Shelter Green Raptor. Dang that thing looks good!!!

I had a 2020 802A Raptor, great trunk, Raptors are the best looking truck and I love them. But, as others state, towing and cargo capacity. Plus, when I went to get back into a truck, Raptors price were through the roof as were most trucks - I paid more for my Tremor than I did for my Raptor.
and...I have this for my Baja - offroad, jumping etc.

That green is really sharp

Yeah, if they offered the 27 tremor in that color, it would get very expensive for me!

For me it was width and towing capacity. You can't even fit a raptor in a lot of automatic car washes.

F250 OTHO. I walked out of financing on a 2026 F250 Lariat Tremor 6.7HO on New Years Eve and ended up with the 2025 Tremor later that day.

Still sometimes regret it but I never really could get used to the solid front axels on HD trucks

New here with a 2026 Tremor, 402A package with V8, traded in my 2019 Raptor with every bell and whistle it came with at the time. Raptor R cost wanted that V8 sound back) and bed load capacity were the two main reasons. Added the Ford Performance branded Whipple Supercharger and a tuned exhaust and still saved at least $20k versus the R.

Good choice. I'm heading that direction but setting up off-road mods first.

Owned a 2011 Raptor 6.2, then 2019 Raptor 802A. Absolutely love them, until trans failure, this past Nov. Went to trade in on an Expy for the wife. She wasn’t impressed with it after test drive, raptor on the lot had been sold earlier that day. Salesmen introduced us to the ‘25 5.0 Tremor 402a. I had never heard of them. Wife’s eyes twinkled, and put a big smile on her face when the V8 light off. After a good test drive, we discuss costs with sales, price was right, zero financing…. SOLD. We actually needed the extra towing as well. The biggest disappointment however, is the turning radius. Now she will get the Expy Tremor, in the next year or so.

The cost difference for me wasn’t an issue - I honestly just think the full size Tremor is large enough and didn’t want something even wider. I’d also rather build the truck for my purpose which isn’t high speed baja - and I like v8s.

I had a 2011 Raptor and paid $52K for it new back in the day. The cost increase of trucks since then speaks for itself, but at the end of the day the Tremor is very similar to what the Raptors were back then and that's what I really wanted.

I will add my .02, I had a Gen 1 raptor, and then a 2018 Police Responder F150 that I swapped in a Raptor suspension. Both trucks were great. But they were wide for sure and in larger cities it was a bit tight. Since I live on the east coast, using the Raptor to its potential isn’t easy and I just don’t have the time to travel out west once a year to use it.
The tremor fit my needs, it has the off-road goodies, a V8 which I wanted, and decent towing capacity. Plus narrower for the larger cities since I do travel quite a bit. Suspension wise I’d say it’s plenty comfortable and I can drive for hours without fatigue.

Would I get a Raptor again, or Raptor suspension swap my tremor? Maybe at some point if I move out west

I had a V6 Raptor and a Raptor R, both gen 3s. Hopping in both of these trucks to run a quick errand almost seemed like a pain. Hopping in my Tremor for a quick jaunt, I never even question it. The Raptors are great, they look awesome and perform very well in baja-like off road scenarios. On the contrary, the Tremor really hits the sweet spot for my needs and it has a V8. Win-Win.

Tested both. Liked both. But the Tremor's suspension was friendlier for long drives for work, vacations, kids' sports, etc. How long? In the first year, I put 30,000 miles on it. The "wife test" thought the Raptor was rougher; every married man knows that even if she was wrong, she was correct (I think she was correct, but that's how it's built).

You traded in a Raptor R for a TREMOR? 😳

Haha, yes I did. A large reason was my wife hated it. I was anal about keeping it nice in the interior and we have two kids under 3. I got tired of the constant complaining and made a drastic move. Complaining has reduced and morale has improved considerably all around. It was a good move. Plus, I really do enjoy the Tremor. It also fills the V8 need but now I just need some more ponies.
