I ordered a ‘23 Tremor with V8. Do you think the raptor skid plate will fit 23 MY and will the oil access on the skid plate line up with 5.0?

Might want to wait for the 23 raptor R skid plate to be available. I imagine that one will line up for sure. If it stays the same, then you'll know your good with the current one.

It should fit the V8 as well. There are people with non tremor V8 that have installed the skid. One note is that since the V8 does not come with the cardboard cover you will need two additional bolts and clip nuts for the front of the skid plate. I reused the ones installed on the old cover, but you will not have that option.

I'm a little confused on which skid plate part number I need. My 2022 Tremor was just built on 8/9 so it hasn't been delivered yet. I see on the various parts sites that E replaces A and C, and F which replaces D. Does anyone know which part is on recently built Tremors? I'm not sure if I need E or F.

Yea it’s a little confusing. It appears the evolution of the big cover was A, then C, and finally/currently E. The small oil door cover, if you will, started as B then D, and is now currently F. Sooo, currently they are E (cover) and F (oil door). And the newest oil door, F, is like 160.00 for a small metal cover that’s like 1/16 the size of the big cover (E) that is only like 150.00.

Ok thanks, that explains it perfectly! I just want the skid plate and not the oil cover.

I ordered the Raptor skid plate that was listed earlier in this threat with the 4 bolts and 4 nuts and installed it in approx 30 min today. Worked perfectly. This skid plate is a little larger than the cardboard one that came on my tremor, but it bolts up easily and fits like it’s meant too. Also, there is 6 attachment points, so I did use 2 bolts and nuts from the stock cardboard plate with no issues.

Highly recommended! It was a great solution! All in I was $220 with tax for the plate and bolts.

My entire time in Portland/Bend was, "is my truck going to sound rough when I start it."
A wire ran to the right spot with a switch to toggle on and off, thieves get the shock of their lives, would be especially cool to hook up with a camera and remote capable switch and just park in an area where this occurs often, make the next reality show. By the way this is my idea so if someone does this I get a cut of the profits.

Do you have a part number for the bots

you used And we're they the ford bolts for the raptor shield? I see you reused 2 from the tremor, but can't find the bolts on the parts list.

Has anyone done the rci skid plate w/cat protection? Mine is arriving today and wondering how much of a pita it'll be to do during a lunch break

My RCI was pre cat protection & modified by me (Somewhere back in the beginning of this thread.) but was a easy job by myself, took about 20mins if I remember correctly.

Anyone have one of these? If so, do you know the weight? Since the current cover is that flimsy felt and the mounts to hold that on are not necessarily designed for a heavy piece of metal...Just wondering is someone has put this on and had no trouble.

Thanks

The Raptor plate has its own arms on the side, so you don't reuse anything from the fibersorb panel, except the bolts. The R-plate weighs 21lbs.

If you're planning on using it as a skid plate, you may want to be creative when you mount it.

Good info, do you have any pics of your install? Also, does this allow for a trouble free oil change or ?

Thanks

Someone on one of the Tremor Facebook sites showed a picture of a cut in there exhaust pipe where some body tried to remove there Cats. I recommended to bring it to a muffler shop and get the cut welded up and have him order a skid plate for the Raptor.
