Catalytic Convertor protection

Just got an email from Tasca saying HL3Z-7222-C was replaced by HL3Z-7222-E. Any idea if there is any difference?
Yes this is correct 7222-E replaced part # 7222-C - I was at my Ford Dealership yesterday and he could not locate the 7222-C as no longer available - So my dealer can get for me for $149.50 + tax

Skid plate came in today tho not unscathed... thanks Fedex! Though I suppose it's made to take a beating lol.

Those things have to go down conveyor belts that move around a facility big enough to park 200 trucks or more, it would be hard to get anything unscathed if the company shipping didn't package it to be handled the way they get handled. P.S. I worked for FedEx for a while, I can tell you most companies do not package large items to be put through a conveyor belt system, they package them to be loaded by hand onto and off of trucks.

Yeah they just chucked it in a box with no filling and sent it. That box was mangled lol.

I ordered these Raptor parts to prevent CC theft. Big thanks to this post!

At least yours came in a box. Mine also showed up today, but with the shipping labels slapped right on the plate. I don't care since I'll never see it, but that was a complete surprise.

Just use a heat gun amd so.e goo gone and it'll clean right up. I plan to do that to mine before I install it.

I havent ordered yet - Are you guys ordering the Oil Door also and are you ordering online or through your local dealer ?

I didn't get the door. Don't really see a point in it right now. I ordered it from Fordparts.com. You have to select a local dealer to order it but you can still have it shipped to your home or pick it up there.

If you live in an area that gets snow and they put salt on the roads I would under coat that Raptor skid plate before putting it on the truck.

Not a great pic, but got the skid plate installed today. Was super easy.

Does the raptor have a metal gas tank skid plate as well? The RCI options look great but a lot more expensive.

Will be ordering the raptor transmission skid plate to put on my Tremor when it arrives in October! (Feb 5th 402a order)

Looks like the part number change for this also. HL3z-7222-B. Anyone else run into this pn change?
The -B is the older design oil door, it’s smaller and didn’t fit the newer plate I ordered at the time. I did a quick search and it looks like HL3Z-7222-F is superseding part number for the -D.

Thanks. I’ll call where I’ll be ordering the parts. I can not find the -D in any search engine or and Ford parts sites.

Fords part numbers are crap. All I can say for certain (because I bought it first) is the HL3Z-7222-B will not be the correct part unless you have a HL3Z-7222-A skid plate. These were superseded by HL3Z-7222-C skid and HL3Z-7222-D oil cover which I have, now the skid has now been confirmed to be superseded to HL3Z-7222-E, so HL3Z-7222-F sort of follows the logic (what little there is).

Good luck! Be prepared for sticker shock on the oil cover.

Damn I'd say the skid is almost the same price as the oil cover!!!!!
