Dash Shuts Off

In my opinion this is the cluster firmware so until Ford releases an update, I believe taking your truck to the dealership will not result in a fix. Even if they install a new cluster it will have the same firmware you're using now so I would expect the same thing to happen. At least Ford should now realize it's an issue and is just a waiting game for the firmware update.
is there a way to check cluster firmware version?

is there a way to check cluster firmware version?

From the '22 Tremor VIN I pulled (yours) it's the following two files:
NL3T-14C026-CUB
NL3T-14C026-CTB

You can check yourself in FORScan under the config tab under IPC after you connect.

Just tried it out for S &G's (I don't own anything to tow), mine does the same thing

I actually work at a Dealership, in sales, and my new 2022 F150 Tremor 402A just had a similar problem. The instrument cluster went completely black on me while driving on the highway. Quite annoying as all the gauges including speedometer are gone. I had no idea how fast I was driving, but obviously went flow of traffic, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I read a bunch of people said it was towing related? I was towing my boat on the weekend, so maybe there's a connection there? I wasn't at the time this just happened though. I'm on holidays for a couple days but will talk to our shop foreman when back and see what they say. I do all our ordering and have never heard of this issue yet. Granted, Tremors are hard to get so we haven't delivered too many. I'll update if I find a solution.....

Not sure if it helps, but I haven't towed anything with mine at all. Only reason I had the problem was because I read about it here and decided to try it.

Were you playing with any settings or did it just reboot on its own out of the blue?.

It's not towing related, but it is in the towing menu.
BTY... My appointment has been postponed until Sept 12...

Is there a fix for this? Mine did it while driving to the beach last weekend towing my boat. Reset my dash settings and my trip info too.

There isn't a fix as far as I know.
My recommendation is to open a "Case with Ford" through your dealer.

I have a Service Visit scheduled for Sept 12. I don't believe they will be able to solve anything at that time but they insist they want to try. (I'm convinced it's a software problem.) They expect to keep it for about a week.
I'll post the results when I get the truck back.

Sorry for the late update.
The dealer had my truck for a week (AGAIN!!!) and wasn't able to fix this issue. My service advisor said "it has been escalated to Dearborn". I'm not really sure what that means, but I'll check back with him on Thursday.

Thank you for the update sir, greatly appreciated.

Dropped my truck off at the dealer yesterday with a 9am appointment, they didn't get to it by the end of the day. Will update when they get to it, made sure to tell them not to replace anything or do anything drastic without calling me.

Update: My dealer dropped the ball and after 3 days never looked at my truck, and I needed it today so I picked it up last night. I did however go to the Ford website and have someone on the chat assign a case number to my truck. Was told someone will reach out to me if they find a solution.

I made a video yesterday after discovering that my dash would shut off if I tried to view the Trailer Tire Info screen. This also resets the dash, and the My View and gauge orientation. Does this happen to any of you? 402a truck

Video's to see what I am talking about

Great job Ford Engineers! Let's hope this is fixed before my 23 Tremor arrives.

Anyone actually have the trailer TPMS kit installed on a trailer and used this feature? Does it still reset the dash? I would be surprised to know how many of you actually have all the wires to the rear plug to use this feature. Seems random what truck got them all.

For what its worth I have had my truck in twice for this. First time they "reset and updated the modules". Nothing changed. Dealer said the next step was to change the dash cluster. I told him I know that will not work but go for it if you must.

They did, and nothing changed again. Apparently they now have an open ticket with Ford for this. I am doubtful resolution will come anytime soon. I will be interested to find out if the 23's have the same issue.

My truck has been at the dealer 4 times for this issue. The dealer currently has had my truck for a 10 days. I just got off the phone with my service rep who informed me that they ordered a brake module for it. That module is on back order. As it stands I'm picking it up later today unless they can get the module within a day or 2.
This has become very frustrating!!!
