Halolifts Coilover - Group Buy Info in First Post!

Alright, so 12 turns total. I’m at 1.75” of rake, 1.5” of lift over stock. So I’m happy with that as long as @halo.f150 confirms I don’t have it backed off too much. There is still tension on the coil so I’d expect it’s ok. CV angles look better than when I had the spacers in.

Wait I thought in a later post I read you barely had one thread showing for 1.75"
My kit is ordered I'm looking for ~2" lift in the front, where should I have the colar set? I planned to only have 2 threads showing.

I have my full Halo kit on order! Debating if i'll do it or have a friend that has a truck lift shop do it. Just to clarify and to quiz my friend what's the consensus on torqueing the upper and lowers? I thought I read to hand tighten everything then with the wheels back on and lowered to the ground torque the bolts. Is there room to get in there to do this after? Some people reported higher lifts due to torquing at full droop.
Torque both upper and lowers with full weight on the ground, there’s plenty of room to do it. Torque spec is 250lbs lower and 110 uppers.

Looks like both the coupon codes have expired.
Hello there,

Both codes should be fixed and ready to be used. Please let me know if the codes are not working. You can reach me at 303-518-2114. I don't get on here very often.

I had my spc camber kit on one of the lower control arms shift causing misalignment. I had a shop do it so I don't have the instructions anymore. What was the proper torque procedure on these.

Edit: I believe I located it. Did you guys tighten the actual nut side or hold that and tighten the bolt head?

Beat me to it. That's it. You can torque whatever side of the fastener you can most easily get the torque wrench on.

Here's a quick shot I snapped earlier. Sitting about ~1 1/4" of rake, about 2 1/4" lift so far with 6 threads showing. I'll keep an eye on any settling and drive it for a while. My next tire rotation would be a good time to readjust and align.

That looks great, with the hood being higher than the bed line it looks level.

New guy here. How much is everyone paying for install of the halo kit? What's an expected install price? Anyone know a good shop around DFW? Thanks

I paid about $700, it's a local small town shop but do their own alignments. I had Big O tires quote it just to see where they were at.. $1200

Getting ready to order up Halolifts kit. Can some people that ordered and installed pipe in on what the consensus is for most on which rear block to order? Just leave stock block in? Halolifts told me 2.5" block most common order.

Also curious with people running 35" tires successfully....if anyone is rubbing at all, do tires tend to rub on front or rear crash bar?

Thanks!

I think a lot of us didn't change the rear block.

My tires are 34.8" O.D. and are not close to rubbing. Stock wheels.

I sent Kevin at Halo a message but I wanted to ask the group also. I have my truck back at the installer to check everything out. I'm getting noise on the right side when turning and hitting some small bumps like in the video. Turning left is solid no issues. You can hear it pretty clearly in the cab and I stepped out to video and it's very noticeable. Every thing appears to be tight, they did have the camber kit washer not fully seated so I had them fix that and it's still making the noise. Any ideas?

Link to vids: Right side makes noise, left side is solid

This is now flush

If they didn't properly torque that nut ( I think it's 250 ft-lb) you may first have the check proper torque spec on every bolt they touched.

I don't do my own work because I'm cheap, I do it because I don't truck anyone else to do it right.

After further inspection they noticed this oring in the upper shock collar. The passenger side making the noise is pretty far out. Could be causing the clunk I hear?

Hmm. I’m not sure if that’s your issue, mine look the same and are not making noise. You’ll have to see what Kevin says though. Mine is not making any noise, that o-ring may just be some kind of spacer?

He said that it's a double seal and they tell customers to remove it if it comes binded like that as it can allow water in. I just pulled the passenger's side out and not the fix.
