What are your pet peeves so far

not a peeve yet, but something that needs correction, the suspension seems to wallow, kind of cushie like a 1977 cadilac. I prefer something a bit more firm with better rebound control. Open to shock suggestions for when this makes it to a full blown peeve in a month or two...
In the rear, The Tremor has new spring packs and twin-tube dampers. They provide an extra 1.5-inches of travel and lift. The Ford 9.75-inch solid axle is filled with 3.73:1 gears and comes standard with the company’s excellent electronic locking rear differential. Ford says the front and rear dampers were tuned for a softer low-speed ride but can firm-up over severe impacts at speed.

One day, automakers will realize that 4X4s designed to work off road also ride really well on the street too. In other words, all F-150s should have the suspension and tires of the Tremor. The slightly longer-than-stock travel, soft initial damping and tires with generous sidewalls translate into a very smooth ride. But it’s not so soft that the truck feels sloppy when you bend it into a corner. This is a truck we could easily drive every day. It’s way comfortable. And the Tremor is smooth on the freeway too. The Tremor tames sections that usually cause the rear suspension of most pickups to hop. In fact, the Tremor’s beefy suspension has no bad habits on the street.

Sorry to say this but it is a bit too soft with little rebound or dampening. Hit some washboard and it feels like the rear end is out of control. Why they didn't use the fox shocks that were used for every other Tremor edition I'll never understand. They used them on the maverick, ranger, 250+, but not the best selling truck for decades. I'd really like to know what the hell the engineers and marketing were smoking that day.

600 miles so far, haven't owned a Ford in like 20 years, coming off a RAM Rebel, my list is long!

Stereo sucks.

Center console storage sucks, little tray is usless.

Rear under seat storage sucks.

Ford all-weather mats suck.

Mileage is so-so.

Cooled seat don't seem to do anything.

Rear door don't open 90* like the RAM.

Taking it to the dealer today, battery won't charge past 12.72 volts even after charging it for 5 hours on 15 volts output. Alt is putting out 13.5 volts, looking like a bad cell in the battery.

All and all I really like the truck (there is never a perfect one) and the wife spotting it first and give the thumbs up on the purchase, so I feel I'm ahead of the curve.

I can’t speak to the stereo all that much. I had a 2011 Land Rover, then my ‘18 Lariat, now ‘23 Tremor. Point being I haven’t experienced too many vehicle sound systems in the past decade+. I don’t think it’s all that better than my ‘18 even though it’s marketed as premium and more expensive. I’d say it isn’t worth it. No idea what a RAM sound system is like.

I see people complain about center console. Again, no real experience with any others. It’s fine for me. I use the tray just fine and like that it’s easy to take out to get to my stuff in the console. On Amazon, you can buy a second tray or a big tray that covers the entire opening.

Agree on the rear storage. I thought I would love it, not so sure yet. I use it, but as soon as I’m going to have a need for a flat floor for something I’m going to be cursing it haha.

I think the MPG is pretty good for being an off road truck. Getting 16.4mpg currently.

Cooled seats I agree. Sometimes it cools fine. Sometimes I can’t tell it’s even on. My ‘18 truck definitely had better cooling seats.

Mats work for me, but maybe RAMs are better. I wouldn’t know.

I have no idea what the 90* door is but now I’m curious haha. Seems like something I would have no care about until maybe I had it and then didn’t have it.

There is a thread about the battery I believe. Seems like several are having this problem. I don’t believe I am, but I would definitely be upset about that.

I’ve thought about the Rebel in the past and I know a lot of people talk highly of RAM’s interior, but personally I think they are all pretty ugly except the TRX, and if I’m going to pay that much for a truck then I’ll go get a Raptor haha.

Like you said, no perfect truck, hopefully you are able to take care of a few of those issues, especially the battery.

My biggest pet peeves remain the deleted items on MY23.

The 90 degree door angle when the rear doors are open; its easier to load into the back when the doors open wider. Also the RAM has in floor storage that you can use as a small ice chest to keep drinks cold.

The RAM mats are better as the rear mat was two pieces and easier to remove to clean, they also covered more of the floor in the front, though I think the Weather Tech's beat both of them.

Overall I like the truck and there seems to be a Rebel at every stop light here in AZ, not too many Tremors.

Gotcha. Yes, that would be nice and helpful in a lot of situations. Pretty cool. And it sounds like the RAM floor storage is exactly what I thought the Ford floor storage was going to be. That's really cool too. I would like that a lot. Really wish that's how Ford ended up doing it.

Rebels are a nice truck at a nice price point, or at least were when I was looking a few years ago. But still something bout RAM that turns me off. Definitely see a lot of them though. Tremors are starting to pop up around here (Pittsburgh area). I've seen two in the past couple of weeks and my local dealership has four on the lot. Didn't see any in the first two months of owning the truck.

Has anyone had their dealer look at the seat cooling? I would swear the ducts are clogged or something. My seat makes at of noise for barely getting cool. Its like the air is blowing but not going anywhere.

I haven't got that far yet, but being in West Valley PHX the cooled seats are a must!

Steering. This truck does not turn as short as my 12th gen Crew Cab. Very odd to me, but I have to do a lot more 3 pt turns to make it around than I used to.

Infotainment- Seems like the truck randomly picks a screen to start up on. I always kick it back over to my android auto screen, but never does it automatically. It should always revert back to its last screen I would think.

Peoria on Bell Rd. Sanderson has sold a lot of them. They are out there.

In 2018, Ford went from cooled seats to ventilated seats. From what I've read, there was an actual cooling unit pre 2018 and they got rid of that and just use a fan now to circulate air.

They didn't have any when I was looking, got mine for under MSRP at Rodeo in Goodyear, they also didn't charge for the tinted front windows or the Inyati Spray-in liner.

I at least got ceramic tint from Sanderson. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the whole experience and initially walked. I decided after waiting 6 months I'd still buy. I'm a 20 year customer there and have purchased 13 vehicles. The overall experience made me feel like a complete stranger there and I'll probably not go back after this.
Part of the problem I believe is the old timers that were there 20 plus years and built strong relationships with their customers are all gone now and most are new or 1-2 years. It's the same nonsense you expect at a car dealership. My salesman got promoted to sales manager at their Lincoln store. I wish I'd gone over there to buy the Tremor.

I wasn't that impressed with Sanders Ford either, I remember seeing most of their used stuff was not even Ford certified, you had to buy as is or purchase their third party warranty.
So far my experince has been very smooth with Rodeo.

Also take Auto Nation RAM (North Phx) off the list, really bad expereince with them, and when the SVC Manager, GM leaves within a month of each other and there are five open Service Writer jobs, that should tell you something.

Sometimes when I start my truck while the mirrors are folding out (i have the Lincoln fold on), they will stop when I press the engine start. Sometimes they continue through the button push.

Drives me crazy, then i have to close and open the mirrors with the button on the door.

Anyone else?

I must be missing something here. When I pull on the door handle, the mirrors fold out and are fully open by the time I get into the truck.

Yes! But I never put two and two together! I’ll have to pay attention now and just let them fold out first.
